Extravagant fashion: not in the street. I am pretty sure you won't see anything else besides Pull, sweat shirt, T-shirt and jeans. Oh, and lots of pink on guys.
Nude beaches: Should I mention people around these place are 50 or so in average? I'm speaking about age, of course. This should obliterate any dream you had into a nightmare.
FAMAS: Assault rifle indeed. And it's true there are militaries in Paris, it's part of the "Plan vigipirate", our solution against terrorism.
Cops drift:...? I just don't see this happening. Do not believe in films like "Taxi".

I've seen it. I was next to Centre Pompidou and a cop car drove between buildings where people walk, pedestrians walking (locals who are used to it, no doubt) out of the way and the cop drifting.

"It's Dumbo. He's come to say bon voyage."

Stalemate: The penultimate depiction of equal, yet opposing forces, the Standoff marks the point at which two or more paths of badassedry meet.

Death rarely occurs in these situations. Quotable lines, begrudging friendships and edge-of-your seat tension occur in droves, however.  [see avatar; Mexico, 1821]

Why only two days?
I've got this whole week off. My dad leaves for Vienna for a few days (job related stuff), so my mom thought "hey, since your dad will be gone for a few days, lets just take a quick tour to Paris and look at the sights."

Rae, I assure you there are quite a few high end places to shop it up in Paris. It's a fashion center on par with New York, London, and Milan.

It was pretty good. When I got back I was tired as **** though. Out of the 30 odd hours I was awake there, I must have walked for 20 of them. Didn't get up into the Eiffel tower. The line was horribly long.

I walked up in l'arc de triomphe though. It is much taller than it seems on pictures. It wasn't that bad though. My physical form is horrible, but the one exercise I can do without getting tired is walking on stairs.

Yes, it's surprising the first time. As for the queue, yeah, it's holidays so it was to be expected, but taking the stairs would have been faster for you ^_^.

After walking for an entire day, my legs would never have carried me up there, not even to the first floor.
