Title: The Clash Mart
Post by: Gaffit on 08 July, 2008, 11:04:41 pm
Welcome to the Clash Mart!

The Clash Mart is where you can buy items and weapons for the Clash of Smash.

Buying:

How this works is you tell me what you want and how much AP you currently have, and I'll come up with a fair price for it.

I keep an updated list of how much money userís have spent, so you can find out how much money your character currently has. The formula for finding your current money is simple.
(Current AP) X 20 + 100 = (Total Possible) Ė (Amount Spent) = Current JD

The Catalogue:

Proofing: Usually runs around 40 JD per item/weapon/piece of clothing. Depends on what you want proofed against. Takes up one Elemental Slot.

Empowerment: Usually runs around 40 JD per item/weapon/piece of clothing. Depends on what element you want to empower something with. Takes up one Elemental Slot.

Cut Through Anything: The upgrade that all clashers aspire to have. This upgrade will allow one of your weapons to be able to slice through anything at all. Adamantium will be like hot butter to you. 3,000 JD per weapon, is cancelled out by Unbreakable.

Unbreakable: The only known defense against a weapon with the cut through anything upgrade. All weapons are Unbreakable as a standard, but that doesnít mean you donít want some extra protection. 3,000 JD per item/piece of clothing. Is cancelled out by Cut through anything.

Weapons: All weapons initially cost 60 JD, However, that price can fluctuate depending on what you want it made out of. Every weapon/item/piece of clothing in Clash of Smash starts off with 3 Elemental Slots.

Vehicles: A recent addition due to their boost in popularity. Vehicles start at a base price of 400 JD.

Companions: A recent addition due to their boost in popularity. Companions are robotic counterparts made of non-magnetic components.  Companions can range from ToolBoxes to Dragons to Shrimp. Whichever type of companion you choose, I will throw in a standard use for it free of charge. An example of this is if you pick a cat, Iíll throw in Retractable Adamantium Claws. Pick a gopher, and Iíll throw in the ability to dig large tunnels at high speeds. All companions start at a base price of 400 JD.

Elemental Slots: Buying more Elemental Slots allows you to have more than the standard three Elemental Slots on any item/weapon/piece of clothing. Elemental slots cost 300 JD.

Forts: All the rage nowadays. If youíre starting a team, you canít have random zaniness or evil plans without a place to do it in privacy. Forts cost 750 JD no matter what. Add anything you can think of to it and the price stays the same.

Specialty Items: Name what you want, I'll come up with a price

The List: A list I keep of every current character in Clash of Smash and how much they have spent in my shop. The current list is:
FM (Dmax): 3840 JD (Goddamn Dmax. Do you sell **** on the side to make that much money?)
Rid****:(Dmax): 260

You broke my heart!

;~;

and scratched my counter....

does our debt carry over gaffit?

Haven't thought about that. I suppose that characters that were carried over probably should, otherwise those players would have a huge advantage over the new players as they could just use those characters as banks to buy awesome equipment for their other characters.

Depends on what falls within the realm of "magic". Do you want to stop someone from pulling a bunny out of their hat, or do you want to stop someone from using their ability to magically summon fire?

Doc: whats the price?

To be honest, I'm having trouble putting a price tag on it in good conscience since I'm basically selling you elemental immunity and then some. If you could tell me what you plan to use it for, via PM or otherwise, then I'd be able to put a price on it's use more easily, and if I know your intentions instead of just assuming you're going to use this device to it's full potential, then it'll be cheaper as well.

And I don't think the debts should be reset everytime we reset the CoS. It's massively unfair to new players.

That's something of a point, so they can't buy extremely overpowered weaponry for their other new characters so they can be on even terms with other new players.

I don't know, reading my new character's profiles, I feel like I have to do something with Gaffit later on. I don't know, maybe in a Storyline later...

Doc: i would use it as described, a way to prevent any elemental, technological, or magical attacks within a radius of the character. I'll also note that i wouldn't want it to be IW.

*Sigh*

*Goes to work on getting a price for you*

Ugh, I hate specialty orders so much...

How so?
Keeping debts prevents the vets from buying anything.
That's something of a point, so they can't buy extremely overpowered weaponry for their other new characters so they can be on even terms with other new players.

Doc, after doing the math and actually cutting some numbers for you, I came up with the price of 5140 JD.

If I cut the actual cost of the elemental proofing itself, it'd still be at 4500 JD.

How about a Large Teddy Bear(say 6'0"), equipped with chain guns, lasers, rockets, fire comtrol, Ice control, super speed, fight, sentience and hell why not, lets give it a taser.

you can ballpark it if you want, i'm mostly window shopping right now...

Hey, I just did the math, hell, I cut all kinds of cost by simply lumping "science" and "magic" into one element each.

And even then, I cut like three element slots to get that number.

Loiterers...

*Glare*

Teddy Bear Companion, that'll run you 400 JD, and he gets one free weapon with that.

Chain Guns with unlimited ammo: 120 JD

Lasers: 100 JD

Fire Control: 310 JD

Ice Control: 310 JD

Rockets: 120 JD

Superspeed: 150 JD

Flight: 150 JD

Sentience: Comes Standard

Taser: 60 JD

Total comes to 1720 JD. Now buy something already!

Alright, that'll be 12,000 JD each.

ThunderBird (DoctorWorm X): owes 12,000 JD
Billy (DoctorWorm X): owes 12,000 JD
Oorta (DoctorWorm X): Owes 12,000 JD

Judg: I wanna a motorcycle that can go at the speed of light, can control the earth element, gravity, and fire. It needs to be able to shoot missiles, machine guns, shotguns, arrows, lasers, and frisbees. Wheels have spikes, and can spawn swords on the rims. I also want it to be ridable on ANY surface. Other abilities include oil slicks, smog trail, caltrop trail, and chain firing action. It can summon wings to fly too, and the front has a drill to dig with.

Now here's the good part:
It transforms into a mech, with rocket shoes, beam sabre, flamethrower, missiles, particle beam cannons, ice, electricity, and dark immunities, wolverine claws, giant sniper rifles, drills, and nuclear bombs.

CA upgrade for Dmax's Gloves.

Precisely why I was against Debt Resets.

Without any effort, Dmax can now purchase a CA weapon.

So don't fight Dmax...

Do you actually intend to buy this?

What's that Doc? You want the moon? And you want everything on it? For each character?

Alright, that'll be 12,000 JD each.

What? You don't intend to buy it? Too bad! >:D

The List:
ThunderBird (DoctorWorm X): owes 12,000 JD
Billy (DoctorWorm X): owes 12,000 JD
Oorta (DoctorWorm X): Owes 12,000 JD

Thank you! Come again!
Doc: Excellent.

i don't see why everyone thinks you're so smart.. you just game me the moon

You were just window shopping. You don't get the moon until you pay off all your debts.

*Points at the first post*
*shrugs*
Doc: too bad TB and Billy aren't gonna be characters starting tomorrow...

but oh well, now at least no one else can have it...

*turns to Judg*
The Bomber's base is still up there wanna help me get rid of it?

You do remember that if you reuse TB and Billy's AP the debt sticks right?

You'd have to restart TB's slot if you wanted to get out of the debt, and since Billy's AP is 0, you're technically reusing his AP if you restart, so the debt sticks for both.

You don't mess with me in mah mart!
Doc: billy actually has 1Ap so yea...

The show fight didn't count. I didn't consider it a real fight and didn't take the AP.
Doc: says you, now.

besides. I WANT THE F**KING MOON!

and your only way to win this arguement would be to take it away, which i seriously doubt you can do. after all, i have this hammer
*holds up a lego hammer*

I feel nothing.

Game Mechanics mean nothing.

Story-wise, Judgment Blade is the most broken thing in broken history, able to transcend and alter time itself, and cut entire worlds into different dimensions, where their struggle for power will eventually lead them to imploding.

And much more interdimensional BS.

You Hardly need an assistant. im here to HELP you, as a non-creator, this is the main way i can help.

if judg wants to sit around and do nothing, be my guest then, hes going for the Title of Assistant, where as i was actually trying to help. Doesnt that seem fairly Selfish of Judge? To take away, one of my only kind acts Towards you people. if you guys want, i can go back to being a Douche. is that what u want judge? for me to troll your ass, again? (or someone to fondle it? thats my guess)

You can try to take my job but, i still have the better version of Judgment blade.

I really have nothing but good intentions. After realizing how I am on here literally the minute I wake up, until I go to bed, I figured it wouldn't help if Gaffit had an assistant who is on at all times to cater to those who need the mart while he is gone. I had no idea Dmax would take it so personally.

We used to charge for the bullet, but that went out the window fast. Now if we sell rounds, it's automatically infinite.

I'm sorry but I don't take bribes. Basically the rules that they can't be used directly on your opponent and they can only be used once every 2 turns will still apply. Other than that, I think the set will run you about 140 JD.

Very well then. Can I at least bend it so much so that the turn rules only apply upon the turn which the thing emerges from the exit?

So basically you want to be able to stay between the portals for more than one turn? I suppose that reasonable, considering I've seen people do the same with darkness control.

Actually, I don't want it for the purpose of refuge (though I suppose I could use it that way). I had something much more diabolical in mind.

Ah, another two questions come to mind.

1. How much more would it cost it implement a function which locks either the entrance or the exit closed, preventing anything which has entered from exiting, or being withdrawn?

2. What exactly are the rules about affecting your opponent directly with a portal?

I'd like to know what diabolical thing you have in mind before bending the rules for you. You can send it to me via PM if you don't want it revealed.

Also, the exit closing thing is pretty much implied isn't it? Considering the portals are controlled by being connected to your mind.

And Affecting your opponent directly with a portal means you cannot use your portals on any part of your opponent or on their IW weapons (of course it still works on anything created by the weapon. So you can't portal away the gun, but you can portal the bullets to hell if you like).

60 JD for the staff, 40 for the lasers, and 50 for the energy barriers sounds about right, so that comes to 150 JD.
Hm... Sounds good. But I'd still need a weapon slot...

Screw weapon slots. I brought them into this world and I'm taking them out! Plus I'm pretty sure Dmax agrees with me, so it's at least enough to tie.

>_>

They are crazy unneccessary given the CoS's current times.

Con Briofe has around 7, as you stated, and Versaren has either 12 or 13.

Right, so you want a set for both right? After purchase, Con Briofe should 100 JD, and Versaren should have 220 JD. Savvy?
Not really. Remember, they both got the 80 JD bonus from the tournament. Unless you're upgrading the ring sets to 200 JD each.

Yeah, you're right.

So that means Con Briofe will have 180 JD left while Versaren will have 220 JD left, since both weapons only cost 60 JD after taking the prizes into account.

A motorcycle that turns into a robot? That sounds like a basic companion that runs for 400 JD I think...

It would also get one free ability with purchase.

3000 JD

Thoughts?

It looks good. I like Phoenix' hallucination ability. Rief used to have one, except it never worked. But yours should work better since Rief's had a bunch of drawbacks.

The only note I can make is that, you know Hawk's shield override can only be used after 10 turns right? After that, I suppose you should be able to use it every 4 turns as your profile says.

*Knock knock*

Nikoleis enters

"Hum ... oh, Gaffit ! Hi !"

"I wanted to see if I could order something... I did all the schematics, but I lack time, material and production license to work on it. Her is it"

The stange machine described is a sort of gyroscopic wheel, mounted on a pendant. It is done so energy can be trapped in it and such being stored for future uses. The capacity is equivalent to three (3, ***) mana point, usable for activating / sustaining power. Recharging it is simple, but requires the user to recharge magically, which need the same amount of power which will be stocked in it.

"... So ? How much would you charge for this ?"

Title: Re: The Clash Mart

What could it be used for. From what it sounds like, it can either be used to absorb magic attacks, use one massive attack, or allow you to temporarily raise your Magic stat.

"Hi again!"

"Some upgrade for my stuff today... the magitech blade for starter, I have the idea to put some magiprinting in it to store it's own energy, so sustaining a magitech blade ability effect wouldn't cost me energy anymore."

"Then, there's that good old electric infused tachi I left last time, I would like to pay the storage fee, now."

"Of course, I know I do not have enough weapon slot (and arms) to uses everything, but I wanted to know if a weapon warper would be legal, allowing me to change my weapon whenever I want for a cost."

Title: Re: The Clash Armory
Post by: Gaffit on 24 October, 2009, 04:07:51 pm
We got rid of weapon slots awhile ago didn't we? Why are these weapon slot rumors still going around?

Anyway, giving your magitech blade the ability to store it's own energy should be relatively cheap, probably running around 30 JD.

Quite a bit. The normal IW upgrade for a single weapon or companion is 3000 JD. Someone to create an infinite number of IW weapons would probably cost more.

Don't mean to steal your business, Gaffit, but with an ability that allows you to control a solid material (For example, the metal I can use), you can use the logic that since you control it, you can force the molecules and such to stay together.

It kills your mobility, though...

This works, but then you usually get into a power struggle over whether or not your ability to hold something together is more powerful than your opponent's ability to blow something apart which usually leads to fight-angst.

As for suggestions, something as simple as a Kinetic Barrier Generator that gets stronger the more force gets put into it would run about 200 JD. Albeit people can just walk through it very very slowly to get around it, it'll make it so that an opponent's attack, even if it hits lightly enough to pass through the barrier, won't do any damage.

Anyway...

How much would a motorcycle cost that can be remotely controlled, loaded with various firearms, and can transform into a a sort of armor-weapon that covers an arm and part of the torso, increasing power and still being able to use its previously mentioned weapons?

...not that it actually fits any of my characters...

Also I'd like a blade about half a foot long to be hidden in the shafts of both, as well as a small engine at the end of the shaft that allows them to spin crazy fast for both defense and attack. Power Blaster: 30 JD
Plasma Shot: 50 JD
Power Surge: 80 JD (Sounds like it cancels status effects correct?)
Spread Cannon: 30 JD
Overdrive: 80 JD
Total: 270 JD

Yeah, that's the idea, for Tyrenion. Also, I won't be able to buy evey option for him. I will be back later for the plasma shot and the overdrive.

Hey, Gaf, are you sure the books are right? It says Hero only spent 90JD...I would go through and sort everything out right now, but i'm sorta having computer issues. I need to know my correct JD count before i buy my SS gifts, for obvious reasons. I may be able to go through the topic and fix everyone up, but it'll take a while. So do you want me to do it, or can you?

Yeah, that doesn't seem to be right, it looks like Hero spent 210 JD and Zaraki spent 100 JD. Have no idea what happened there...

Nikoleis: "Hi again! I figured you weren't rich enough. I bought the list of everyone's purchace, because, well, there's a load of these, including from myself."

Nikoleis: "For me, this."
He put his Metaverse warper on the counter.
Nikoleis: "I found out what doesn't work on it and I need parts for it."
(Metaverse warper: allows to change the arena for another place, this time reliabily. Requires 10 energy charge to be activated, however, to prevent abusive uses, as it works like a GmB)
Nikoleis: "If I've got some spare money, then we will discuss upgrades for my weapons later, shall we?"

Nikoleis: "Then MAJ asked for a saddle, for Piezzo. That bird sure got bigger!"
(Piezzo, new helper:
Strength: ***
Speed: ****
Defense: ***
Energy: **
Abilities: Fly and rainbow / heart control, also used with the girls new ability)

Nikoleis: "Tyrenion asked for the remaining parts he ordered, so that's an easy one."

Nikoleis: "Sheylan want to follow a martial art course of her own, but the travel to the places she needs to go will cost her some money, I suppose."
(Improve her style so she gets two DIFFERENT +1 instead of one, not improving two opposite stats. She won't be able to reach 6 speed that way.)

Title: Re: The Clash Armory
Post by: Gaffit on 19 January, 2010, 08:43:38 am
For Nikoleis: That'll cost 60 JD, though I honestly don't see why you don't go all the way with it. Lotus has pretty much the exact same ability only without the restriction. It'll cost you a bit more though.

For MAJ: You buying the saddle or the bird?

Tyrenion: 130 JD for the Overdrive and Plasma Shot.

Sheylan: 40 JD.

Eh, no offense but you're probably not the type that would use it that cheaply. Plus it's a ****. If your opponent finds a work around, all they'd have to do is break your shield or make you use up all your air in ten turns. Seems like a fair trade to me.

I'll sell the saddle for 100 JD.

Nikoleis: "Great project this time, very, very great. I'll let the blueprint speak for itself."

Nikoleis: "Behold, the Destructor, new flagship of my armada (which is normal with only one ship...), with enough plasblaters, lasers, missiles, magitech amplifiers and so on to fill the sky, addind drones, counter measures and a shiny force field, a warp booster added to the regular one, fully equipped kitchen and every TV programs avairable, add to this an arcade room , a supercomputer and chromed toilets, not to mention the obligatory wave motion cannon (the Apocalypse cannon, nicknamed after a friend)."

Nikoleis: "How much?"

(We still can buy a base, right?)

Title: Re: The Clash Armory
Post by: Gaffit on 24 January, 2010, 04:34:01 pm
*Cracks knuckles*

Vehicle: 300 JD
Complimentary Weapon: Wave Motion Cannon (I'm assuming you want it to be this one since it's likely to be most expensive)

Plasblaster Armament: 80 JD

Laser Armament: 80 JD

Missile Armament: 60 JD

Magitech Amplifier: 120 JD

Drones: (Do want drones that simply defend the ship, or drone that can break off from the ship and attack opponents? Former costs 50 JD and are really easy to kill, latter cost 100 JD and are quite a bit tougher. I can sell you a army of WarDroids for 150 JD that are about as strong as half a companion each.)

Automated Point Defense System: 20 JD (This is just an upgrade to your other weaponry that'll allow it to automatically shoot down enemy fire without you having to tell it to)

Force Field: Alright, I got three variety here, Run of the mill shielding that can take in most quite a few normal attacks before breaking, and regenerates in 6 turns for 60 JD, Advanced Shielding which can soak in a full force GMB and then a couple normal attacks, and when brought down regenerates in 6 turns for 180 JD, and then I got my specialty LawnChair Strength Shielding which can take in up to 3-4 GMB's before being brought down, and then regenerates in 3 turns for 240 JD. I only install those last two on massive ships though.

Warp Booster: 70 JD (Let's you teleport faster right?)

Interior Design: 80 JD (You can design your inner rooms however you like, whether you want to make it comfortable as home, or filled with traps making it impossible to infiltrate is up to you)

Chrome Toilets: 700 JD (Chrome shortage, not much I can do about it... I can sell you some cheap knockoff chrome toilets for 10 JD though)

Title: Re: The Clash Armory

Nikoleis: "... 1040 JD, eh? With defense drone and middle shield, removing the chrome from the equation... I only have 940... I suppose I will have to downgrade the shield, for now... Ok, offshore account credited, paid: Adynos/Sundy: 210, Sheylan: 300, MAJ: 50, Tyrenion: 0, me 360."

Why is everyone buying battleships all of a sudden? I mean, yeah they're awesome, but once you bring a Vehicle of Mass Destruction to a one on one fight, things tend to dissolve a bit. Not that I'm complaining, this arms race is making me rich.

So you want the War Droids, the Sentience, and the LawnChair Strength Shields right?

Let's see...

Hawk would earn: 7 AP
My team would earn: 4 AP each, for a grand total of 20 AP
Without the bonus: 6 and 3/15, a little fairer for him.
Not assuming that Quill and Phoenix are here... for now.

Ummm....

*Ahem*

On Jawo's suggestion, I am going to inquire on the price of a... Sex Change Ray Gun.

*Awkward*

...Anyway... It would be an accessory, rather than a weapon, and would only be able to affect myself. The practical use of this would be to change my abilities to have the opposite effects (black fire becomes white ice, etc.). And it could only be used once a turn.

...Also, just to make sure, this was Jawo's suggestion and not an idea of my own in any way.

Sadly thats a good idea for a weapon. Good thinking DB. ;)

I would say it would be 120 JD. 60 for the gun and 60 for the ability to invert yourself.
