Add to this that sorcerers can make "contracts" with members of the opposite sex to grant them special abilities, and the fact that said "contracts" are made with a kiss, and you can see where this is going.

You know how I like my summaries. But yeah, it's basically your typical harem story, with magic and a little angst thrown in for good measure.

Well, I watched Tenchi back in the day when it was on TV, so I have some knowing of how that is.

It's entertaining enough.

Though, unlike other magical boy/girl series, there is blood in this one. At times at least. Akamatsu can't really decide apparently.

Oh, and to comment on something that was posted earlier, yes the adults are quite strong. Rakan is frikken awesome, and actually managed to give a law of magic the finger through sheer force of will (in a "I'm gonna flex my muscles as hard as possible and that will do something" kind of way).

The battles have shifted focus from wizardry fighting to whoever can power up their punches the strongest. Well, at least that's how it is for Negi. I think there may only be one character left who seriously uses ranged magic attack spells.

Well, the most awesome fights IMO are fought hand to hand. Like real men, none of those foul contraptions known as weapons.

Yeah, real men take attacks head on and don't hide behind silly items.

In rare instances, mind fights are also epic.

Like Evangeline Vs. Setsuna, that was cool.

This is definitely one of the best mangas I've read.

It's a really great manga. One of the few manga that manage to make ecchi serious.
