A few tips for remake, Don't shoot every zombie you see. Only stab/ shoot them if they are an obstruction. When facing the dogs, put your back to a wall and knife them too as they don't have much health, or run if you wish.Try to always keep one pistol mag on you at all times.

That's more of a tip for more experienced players IMO. You can go though the game and still kill everything in sight but Frosted does have a point.

I'm trying to not kill a lot of zombies until I get the zombies. I've heard Crimson Heads are bitches. >_>

Crimson Head are super anoying. As soon as you find the kerosene, burn every zombie that you kill to avoid reanimation.

I'm in this one guy's house now. Somehow, I only have 4 shotgun ammo, even though I collected a crap ton of them, and this bastard chainsaw guy is here.

Great. The handgun doesn't do much to him.

Never mind. I was standing at the top of the stairs waiting for him. I thought I equipped the shotgun, but apparently I had the handgun (don't ask how I mixed the two up >_>). So I shot him a couple of times with the handgun, and almost had a close call as I was switching to the shotgun, but I ended up killing him with my last piece of ammo.

I have to be more conservative with my ammo tbqh. I guess I should use the knife when they're down.

Try the Stun (Headshot, kneeshot, etc.) + Kick + Knife combo. That should help with ammo conservation.

At first, I figured he'd be scary and hard. But really, he's a just nuisance more than anything, simply because he takes forever to kill. Just shotgun him a bunch of times, and he won't even touch you. He's a lot easier than the chainsaw guy in RE5.

The chainsaw guy from RE5 only seems harder because you can't knock him down. I think he's actually easier to dodge and his swing takes much longer than Dr. Salvador's. I've also been hit by the RE5 chainsaw guy and lived, so...

Meh, he just seems so much more intimidating than the guy in RE4 IMO.

I have never played Skies of Arcadia, and while I enjoyed Okami, I found it to be more of visual experience for me than I game I truly loved. It certainly wasn't bad, I just wasn't crazy about it.

Honestly, running away from the knights was probably scarier, simply because Ashley didn't have any guns. And even that wasn't bad, considering how they were slow as ****. RE4 really isn't all that scary tbqh. REmake on the other hand is.

Silent Hill is extremely creepy. I have watched all the cutscenes from 2-5 (I was too chicken to play the games), all on seperate days, and each day I watched all the cutscenes, I didn't think I would be able to get it out of my mind.

This is just personal preference, but upgrade the striker and magnum up all the way and don't buy ammo for either/reload them if you're about to get an upgrade for them because it automatically reloads the weapon when it gets and upgrade. Fully upgraded Striker has a magazine of 100 shells.

Finally beat the game. Pretty damn awesome, although the ending was pretty sudden.

Final boss was easy too.

He's a bit of a lamer.

The fight looked and felt somewhat awesome, but was easy.

Made me think of the final battle in Wind Waker, except that fight was more epic.

Based on videos alone, (having seen playthroughs of Resident evil 1+2, and played through 4 myself) I personally prefer Leon. Don't know why, I just do. Perhaps playing RE5 will make me favor Chris more, but right now, it's all Leon.

And the fact that he has emo hair, yet still kick so much ass (Knife fight with Krauser FTW) is an instand +3 to his charisma for me.

Jill...she is kickass...she dealt with all the **** in the mansion and whatnot, and then went on to take on an entire city of monsters and Nemesis, while wearing a mini-skirt, no less...I'd like to see any other woman do that...plus she got the immunity to the virus...

Claire...the most empathetic and sympathetic character in terms of relating to other characters in the game...I mean, Sherry Birken...need I say more?  Clearly got some good charisma/personality going on there.  Plus, she has the jiggles, lol.

Rebecca...everyone loves to rag on her for being useless, but the fact is, she made it through all the crap in RE0 and RE and at that point in time was younger than I am now, and she had the least training of any of the people there, and she had zero combat experience.  I mean, that says something to me.

Ada is a badass, and a ****.  I like her, but I feel like Capcom tries too hard to make her cool.

Chris is like, cool and all, and passionate and whatnot, and likeable and charismatic and crap...an ace shot and trained well
Leon started like that, too, I guess...like a less trained version of Chris

then they went and made Leon all...weird and unemotional and overly trained...8 years of training wouldn't even have him as skilled as he was in RE4, so yeah...that was pretty BS

HUNK and Wesker are better than everybody IMO.

Incidentally, I unlocked Boulder and Boulder's secret level in Mercs. Boulder can't be stopped at all until Chris spawns.

2. i just got through the cabin battle in RE4.... not all that hard actually. i decided to quit for the night (its 2:34am btw) because the next part i get to choose between 2 paths: chainsaw sisters or El Gigante..... ugh....





*i know i'm really behind on the current RE games (4 & 5) and that this has been said BILLIONS of times before now, but this game is fuckin' awesome. so much fun. unfortunately all of the ammo i keep stockpiling keeps getting used to kill those stupid tentacle-head-things.... just feels like they take too many hits before the finally die. i've got a lot of pistol ammo now, but am running low on TMG and have one full case of shotgun ammo left. BUT NEVERTHELESS, it is still an awesome game that i cannot wait to play through. very fun.*

Semi-Auto Rifle, the new Shotgun, and a Blacktail. Sell all of your old weapons. TMP is also nice to have.

Use the Hydra on its legs, then shoot it in the mouth. Or just throw a flash grenade at it.

And use Wesker's Rhino Push (or whatever) move on the chain-gun guys.

I still hate them. The chain guys haven't been too much of a problem for me.

I meant that the only way you'll see his Rhino Push (or whatever) move by yourself is by stunning him and pressing X.  The melee move characters use on stunned chain-gun guys is the third attack of the "juggle combo" on a normal Majini.

Also, if you press both joysticks forward with Wesker, he'll do a dash.

There's a ton of hordes and ambushes in the castle. Chapter 3 IMO was great, though not many people liked it. Chapter 4 was boring though, even though most of it takes place in the castle.

oh, i have the best shotgun now btw. my pistol is pretty bad ass and the sniper does 11.0 damage. i still have the broken butterfly only because it does a lot of damage so i figured it would be good for a boss and then throw away (i get to kill salazar, right?)

The mines/ruins were the most boring parts of the game IMO.

Jesus, I was playing on Veteran on Chapter 3-2 with all of those Chainsaw guys. That was incredibly intense. The chainsaw guys were only going after me, and my partner was trying to shoot them from a distance with a normal handgun. Both of us barely had any ammo and health, and shooting the fast chainsaw guy in such a small space is hard. What's worse is that I only had Rifle ammo, and he only had handgun ammo (both being very limited...I only had two shots left in my rifle after I killed the second chainsaw guy, and my partner had no ammo whatsoever, nor did he have any health items).

When that one chainsaw guy you think is dead but really isn't came out, I climbed a ladder expecting him to not be able to jump. But he did jump, and he was swinging randomly in front of the only exit coming towards me in a narrow spot. I have no idea how I escaped, but I did. >_>

Those guys with the infinite ammo are so awesome, especially when they spam infinite rocket launcher.

The game is just hilarious thanks to them, and I get a ton of gems for money. I love it.

ok, beat separate ways. unfortunantly i don't have enough for the CTW (over 600,000 with all of my upgraded guns sold. so, i'm playing through story a second time (gangers leon ftw) to get more money. when i'm around 400,000 i'll sell my guns. with the typewriter i can just go through story a couple mroe times to get the infinite rocket launcher.

You might be able to get the CTW midway through the story. I did when I got it.

ok, currently have 305900 going into the del lago fight. thats how much i have on hand. with selling my weapons i have 806170 and another 15000 if i sell both my rifle scopes. in addition to all of this i'm building up the beer flagon (or whatever its called) and have recently gotten the mask so i can sell both of those once i get them done. oh, i also hit all 15 of the blue medallions and got the upgraded striker from him. sold it right back for a kick ass amount. probably won't be getting the CTW till near the end of the village though... :-\

I guess, it's just that snipers are generally good for shooting certain enemies, like those guys with the catapults in Chapter 3 and 4. Just sell it and get another semi-auto if you don't care if you don't have an upgraded semi-auto rifle.

well i just got through the el gigante/chainsaw sisters fights (love the money from the CSS fight). i currently have enough to buy the ctw if i sell every weapon i have and the infrared scope for the sniper (which i'm fine with cuz i just get it later anyway). the only down side to this is that i will have essentially no money after this purchase (maybe 1000 if i'm lucky) and the castle part is coming up now. i like the sniper for the first part of the castle (catapults) so i think i'll wait till after that to sell my stuff and get the ctw. is this a good idea?

ok, i've decided to make a separate save file and if its just too hard to keep going without the sniper then i'll just play the other file and wait till after the first part of the castle to get the CTW.

I don't remember. I might have sold it and then bought it again. When you get the CTW, money isn't an issue at all.

yeah, i'm finding that out. i now have the CTW and the Infinite Rocket Launcher (IRL). i no longer need ammo and have an over abundance of grenades/herbs (i had 10 hand grenades, 7 incendiary grenades, and 6 flash grenades at one point). now i don't need a sniper anymore so i traded it for the IRL. things are looking good. 8-) (i just got to the island btw)

Dogs are also incredibly annoying in RE games, especially RE5.

Medusa Heads are only annoying until you get their pattern. The only time they are annoying is in the Hell Corridor before Death with the Axe Knights.

Bats have never been a problem for me in any of the games, they aren't very fast and they're easy to kill.

The crows are easy since they stop a bit before the fly at you.
