And now for the long-overdue revival of the VERY FIRST RP: SSBB Play! *fanfare and applause*

Anyways, here's how things'll work!
If you've read the rules topic, then you'll know that character interaction will function kind of like The Subspace Emissary on Brawl. Sooner or later, everyone will know everyone and will be teamed up. (Unless they're like, the main bad guy or something. Occasionally there might be a lone wolf who does his/her own thing, but for the most part, everyone's gonna be allies. :3 )

Also, some topics may have special conditions that need to be met. (For example, the original Play had a topic in which the SSBB and Final Fantasy worlds collided, and every user had to take a Final Fantasy character for awhile, regardless of whether or not they were on a nintendo console/handheld. Another example would be a topic in which all of the bad guys team up and form sort of a "Supervillains Convention", kinda like that episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. If something like that happened, everyone would have to take a villain character for awhile, even if the villain was NOT on a nintendo console/handheld, and even if the villain puts you over the 5 character limit. So yeah)

At the beginning of each topic, there'll be a brief rundown of what's gonna go down in the topic. It'll look like this!

The Rundown
"The Characters" is a sort of free-RPing chapter of Play in which there's not really a story. Now is the time to forge friendships and alliances. Now is the time to start forming the team. Now is the time to start having the bad guys plot things out. Now is the time to goof off with your buddies. Now is the time to train yourself, in case something bad should ever happen.

Now is the time to have fun.

So yeah.. This topic is for all the characters to meet eachother.

One little note: If you've got characters that were in SSBB, they should all still know eachother. (Ex: I have Zelda, Floyd has Snake. They'll know eachother already. :P )
As for other people, like Eirika or Alucard or Dizzy, they need to meet people.

And the location of this topic is just the SSBB world from Subspace Emissary I guess.. That continent or whatever doesn't really belong to a particular game or anything. :P

AND SINCE IT'S SSBB-WORLD, THEN THAT BIG ARENA THAT MARIO AND KIRBY FOUGHT IN CAN BE USED AND CHANGED TO VARIOUS ARENAS LIKE FINAL DESTINATION OR BATTLEFIELD

so start at the Arena then?

I should set specific starting points you can choose from and a specific timeframe for this RP...

Main starting point (Most characters will start here): The Arena
Secondary Starting Points (Not as many will start in them): Just about any large location in the SSBB world.. The Forest, the Floating Continent, the Swamp/Jungle, etc.


This RP will take place AFTER the Subspace Emissary. Tabuu's dead, Subspace is sealed, the Floating Continent can be traveled to (But there's no baddies running a bomb factory there or anything), etc.

Zelda and Eirika: *At the Arena, watching a fight between a bunch of random Fighting Polygons, Wireframes, and Alloys (Or whatever they're called in Brawl)*

Snake: *at the arena, relaxing, having helped everybody kill Tabuu and such*

Frog: *walking towards the Arena. He's in a large cloak with the hood up to hide his appearance.*

Alucard: *the forest as a wolf*

Joanna: *at watching the fight* (And here I thought I was late...)

Mai: *also heading to the Arena*

Shido:*watching the battle in the Arena feeding his falcon scrap of meat*

Morrigan:*wandering the forest*

Dizzy:*Arena with Testament*

*The Arena is filled with sounds. The sounds of the crowd, the sounds of the fighting teams, the music playing throughout the arena, and so on. It's a very lively and fun place*
*The Alloy Team and Fighting Polygon team take out the wireframe team. They then start fighting eachother*
Announcer: *doing commentary for the battle, though makes an announcement* If you'd like to request a certain battle, or if you'd like to ask to participate in one, please head to the main lobby to do so! I'm sure there's plenty of fighters out there!

*The forest is quiet and peaceful. It's quite a juxtaposition to the Arena. Birds can be heard chirping, wind can be heard blowing through the trees, and so on..*

Alucard: *relaxing in the forest as a wolf, by the main path*

Mai: *hears the announcer* Participate huh? This could be my chance to show everyone who's boss.... *heads to the lobby*

*The lobby is a bit quieter, due to the sounds from the arena itself being muffled by the lobby's walls. There's a few people in here, and some women at the reception/requests desk, ready to help whoever needs it. *

*The Alloy team starts to take some heavy losses. The match can be easily won by the Polygons at this point. The audience gets a bit more fired up, due to the match getting closer to it's end.*

Mai: *heads to a desk*

Frog: *gets to the Arena, looks around, still disguised*

Snake: *watching the fight, also looking around for anyone he might know*

Joanna: *watching*

brb, shower

Receptionist: How can I help you ma'm?

*The last of the Alloys is KO'd*
Announcer: Game! The Fighting Polygon team wins!
Audience: *applause and what-not*
Announcer: At this moment, there's no set match, so sit back and relax if you'd like.

Eirika: *decides to get up and explore the Arena a little bit* (I've never seen a place like this.. It's so lively and there's so many things I've never seen before!)
Zelda: (I wonder if anyone I know will participate in a match today?)

Mai: Yes you can. I'd like to be in the next match.

Snake, Joanna: *get up, wander*

Frog: *staying hidden mostly, due to his appearance*

Morrigan:*passes him*

Everyone:*wandering*

Alucard: *sees her* (A succubus?)

Receptionist: Alright then. I'll have to ask you a few questions.. What's your name?

Zelda: *comes across Snake* Oh! It's you.. I haven't seen you since we fought that Tabuu creature..

Eirika: *Accidentally bumps into ANY of your characters (Floyd or Adol). I dun care who. :P * Oh! I'm sorry..

Receptionist: Alright. Is there anyone in particular you'd like to face? Or would you rather just fight with one of the polygons, alloys, or wireframes?

Zelda: Likewise.. *smiles a bit*

Eirika: O-ok.. *notices Dizzy* Is she your daughter..? She seems very shy..

Joshua: *in the lobby now. He sees that one receptionist is busy with Mai, and the others are busy with other things, so he waits for now*

Mai: (Hm.... I need to make an entrance...) Whoever the toughest one is.

Snake: *returns the smile* Has anyone else returned?

Testament:No I'm her guardian, she is rather wary of humans...

Dizzy:...

Morrigan:*feels like she's being followed*?

Alucard: *transfroms after a bit*

Eirika: Oh, I see.. (I definitely shouldn't pry then..) ..Oh! I never introduced myself! My name is Eirika.

Receptionist: Well, all of the alloys, wireframes, and polygons are about the same strength, and no one else has requested to be in a battle.. We do have a tough opponent that we'll sometimes bring out though. He's a solid metal clone of the famous Mario. He's extremely heavy, and most attacks won't even make him flinch, but once you do send him flying, he drops extremely fast.
Joshua: *sorta listening in, but mainly just waiting til one of the receptionists is available*

Zelda: I don't think so.. I haven't seen any of them yet.

Snake: They probably all headed back home. I actually thought I'd be the only one here after all the craziness.

Mai: (Mario? Never heard of him... oh well, sounds good enough.) I'll take the metal guy.

Zelda: I see what you mean..

Receptionist: Alright, I only have one more question. Is there a particular battlefield you'd like the fight to take place in? Here's a list of all of the available places, along with a picture of them. *brings up a list of all the stages in all three Smash Bros. games*
Joshua: (Jeez.. This place has variety!) *a receptionist becomes available, so he goes over to her*

Receptionist 2: How can I help you sir?
Joshua: Oh, I just have a quick little question.. :)
Receptionist 2: *smiles, a bit charmed* Alright. What is it?
Joshua: Do you take bets on the fights here?
Receptionist 2: Yes we do. You obviously can't bet on a battle that you're a part of, but if you just want to spectate, you can place bets.
Joshua: Good to know.. I'll definitely take advantage of that in the future. But for now, I think I'll just watch. :) *heads into the arena itself*

Mai: (Damn, these guys don't mess around... I think I'll go basic for now.) This one looks good. *choose Battlefield from SSBB*

Snake: I would assume I was the only one would be craving more battles after that...

Testament:My name is testament..

Dizzy:D-Dizzy...

Morrigan:*sees him*Hm?

Alucard: Pardon me, but I couldn't help but notice... you are a succubus, are you not?

Eirika: It's nice to meet the both of you. *smiles warmly*

Zelda: I don't really crave battle.. And I'd rather not have to fight again. But this is a good way to pass the time. :)

Receptionist: Alright then. You're all set. Once everything's ready, you'll be called down to the arena itself. The entrance to the battlefield is right over there. *points to a door leading to an extendable bridge that can go all the way to the battlefield itself, and then retract once the battle is underway* There are no other battles planned for right now, so you'll likely be called down fairly soon, so be ready. *smiles*

Joshua: *wanders into the audience section of the arena, sorta just checking this place (and the occasional good-looking girl) out.* (No battle going on? Well that's no fun.. I might have to sign up for one like that woman in the lobby did.)

Mai: Alright. *gets ready*

Snake: Yeah, I know what you mean.

*soon, the announcer can be heard*
Announcer: Mai Shiranui, please report to the battlefield whenever you are ready for your match.
Joshua: (But I think I'll just watch for now.. See how things work..)
Zelda: Sounds like another match is about to start.. But I've never heard of this Mai person.. *heads back to her seat*

Snake: *does the same*

Mai: *heads to the arena*

*once Mai steps foot onto the main battlefield, the bridge retracts, and Metal Mario rises up out of the ground. The battlefield then changes into Battlefield.*

Metal Mario: *Mai connects, but the sweep kick doesn't even make him budge. If anything, it'd hurt Mai's leg a bit. MM spins around and throws a punch*

Problem with me is that I need every little last detail as to not wrong something, so that's why you see me asking tons of questions.

Metal Mario: *nailed in the gut. He staggers back a few steps, slightly dazed for a moment*

Mai: *tries another Deadly Ninja Bees (the name of the elbow move)*

Metal Mario: *gets his arms up to block in time. He still staggers back, but this time he's not dazed*

Yoshi: How did you burn yourself?

Mai: *kicks off him, sending her into the air, tosses fans at him*

Frog: That's a long story...

Metal Mario: *smacks a fan or two aside, gets hit by the others. He throws a few metallic fireballs her way*

Yoshi: Okay. *Obviously not knowing what to say from this point, either ready for the stranger to tell his story or not*

Frog: *nods*

Mai: *twists her body in mid air to dodge them*

MM: *continues firing fiery fireballs of fire. Fire.*

Mai: *summons a pilalr of fire to cancel them out*

MM: *stops firing the fiery fireballs of fire. He runs towards the pillar, ready to jump up through it and take out Mai*

MM: *his punch misses and he plummets back down to the ground. He lands on his feet*

Mai: *plants he hands on the ground and uses them to push of. She points her feet at MM, turning herself into a torpedo of sorts.*

MM: *punches at her feet as she approaches*

Mai: *hit, although she manages to kick off them and throw more fans at him*

MM: *jumps onto the left platform, then up to the central platform, and then up at Mai, getting hit by fans all the while. He tries to do his meteor smash on Mai (forward A attack in the air. It's the one where Mario's fist gets slightly bigger and he punches downwards at his opponent, making them plummet to the ground)*

Mai: Ah! *manages to move to the side, slams one of her fams down onto his head*

MM: *the blow makes him spin like a ferris wheel in mid-air as he plummets back down to the ground. He lands right on his head and then falls over onto his stomach*

Dante: *watching fight near where Zelda is*

Mai: Hiya! *jumps down at him, trying to stomp into him*

MM: *starts to get back up but gets stomped on right on his back. The stomp pins him down*

Mai: That all ya got?

MM: *places his palms on the ground and pushes up into a push-up position hard, knocking her off of him*

Mai: *flips in mid air, lands and sweep kicks him while he's in the push up position*

MM: *falls again, but quickly rolls away, getting up*

Mai: What does it take to put you down!? *tosses more fans, increases her rate of throwing*

*dead, being eaten by maggots and worms*

*hopes the maggots and worms completely consume you so that you don't become a zombie*

MM: *runs at her, the fans slowing him down quite a bit. Suddenly, a Smash Ball appears, floating around Battlefield. MM immediately stops charging Mai, and goes after the SB*

Mai: Oh no you don't! *tosses several fans at the SB* (What is that thing? Well, he wants it so...)

Wheee I'm gonna go buy Fable II. I'll be back in a little while.

Fable II is alright, but it's definitely no game of the year.. X-Play was a total idiot with that one. >_>

SB: *hit by the fans, though that causes it to move further away from Mai*
MM: *jumps up and punches it*
SB: *hit, but hasn't been broken yet. It floats closer to Mai now*

Fallout 3 is so totally GOTY.

Mai: *jumps up and kicks it*

Joshua: (Sounds fun.. Let's see if Lady Luck's smiling on me today.) *draws Audhulma, a Sacred Ice blade. (Kinda like how Eirika has a sacred lightning rapier, Sieglinde). He holds it up and looks at it* (Audhulma... I was destined to be your wielder, despite my leaving of Jehanna.) *gets into his battle stance*

Yoshi: Yoshi knows he's fine. He's Mario. Yoshi signed up for a match.

Mai: *watching*

Snake: Good luck.

Here.

Shido:*watching the match*

Announcer: Begin!
*Fighting Polygons begin dropping onto the stage*
Joshua: *watches them carefully, being sure not to let one sneak up behind him*
Mario Polygon, DK Polygon, Kirby Polygon: *rush him*
MP: *throws a punch*
Joshua: *leans to the side a bit, dodging. He then slashes upwards, KO'ing the MP*
DKP and KP: *attack at the same time. The DKP jumps at him, and the KP tries to tackle him*
Joshua: *jumps forward, right between them. the DKP lands on top of the KP, squishing it. Joshua rolls once he hits the ground and stabs another polygon. He then stands up* Is this all? *continues fighting teh polygons.*

Dante: *near where Mai is*

Soul Edge is knocked right into Nightmare's hand

Yoshi: Thank you. Yoshi wishes you good luck, too.

Snake: I'm not in a match.

Mai: *watching* Wow, I could do that with one hand tied behind my back.

Frog: *swings at it again, trying to make sure its down and out*

Joshua: (This is way easier than I thought it'd be..) *strikes down a few more polygons, leaving about 15 now* (They haven't even touched me!) *a polygon gets too close, so he kicks it back and then slashes it.* (This arena needs some tougher challenges.. That metal Mario thing's already been beaten twice. These are supposed to be the toughest team they've got? Sheesh... That girl who fought earlier would be a challenge. So would the guy who just fought.) *still fighting*

Yoshi: Oh. Yoshi wishes you good luck anyway.

Joshua: *yawns as he cuts down another polygon* 6 left.. *takes out a few more* (If these things didn't just mindlessly charge their opponent and actually use some brainpower, they might be fun to fight.)
*The remaining polygons all rush him at once*
Joshua: *steps forward and spins, delivering a powerful spinning horizontal slash to them all*
Announcer: This game's winner is.. Joshua!
*fanfare and applause*
Joshua: Yeah yeah, whatever.. *heads back to the lobby so they can prepare for the next fight*
Announcer: Our next match ought to be a good one! Joshua VS Mai! Sit back and relax as we prepare the arena for them.
Joshua: *goes to find Mai* (Still haven't decided on a battlefield for us to fight in..)

Its tough though. Super Castlevania IV has a way of killing productivity.

Played it. It was fun for a bit, even though the characters appeared great.
