Title: Hawk's anthro birdies topic. ^v^

Say Hi to Hawk.

Yeah, the neck shading is odd. I know, I haven't bothered to correct it yet. You guys will be the first to see it if I do.

As with all of my stuff (Although this topic is for everyone, not just me.) constructive criticism is welcomed.

And Phoenix. She's got no clothes because I can't draw them yet. >_>

What's going on with the leg in that phoenix one? Or do I just not know enough about bird anatomy? >_>

Those visual effects on the first one are pretty damn slick compared to what I can do.

She's meant to be digitigrade, or having two knee joints, so that's a planned thing, no matter how bad it looks.

*chuckles* Thanks.

Ah. You're artwork is good nonetheless; I didn't mean otherwise.

No, I get what you're saying, but I see many faults in her. You most likely don't pick up on all the criticisms I make myself

Well, I see some other stuff that kinda says "flaw" to me...

And they are?

The neck seems off center, though I could see how that might just be perspective with her torso being turned slightly. Also, her arms are too small for the rest of her body, not really proportional, and the right one is a bit goofy looking at the elbow.

Yup. They're all flaws. Especially the arms, they're too thin, as well.

I like how you used the lens flare in that first one

Thank you. Lens flares are something I use with a lot of caution, and try to make them look right.

I'm currently working on a CG redo of the Phoenix one, while trying to correct all of my niggling little mistakes.

Should be up in a week or two.

So, this is my latest attempt at drawing something. A big improvement from my last try at drawing, I feel. Click it for a big version.

Pretty good.... Although I think the scanner has made it a bit too light.... I darkened it in PS to see it properly.... It's good especially round the head....

I haven't tweaked it yet, I'll repost it when I've done so.

It definitely looks better darkened.... You can see all the shading and such....

Yeah, I hate scanners and my drawings. >v>

Sorry if that came off kinda hard, but I do see potential. My stuff was HORRIBLE at first, but nowadays I'm really proud of my progress that I made.

I need to work on my anatomy and lineart a lot. VvV
