Street Fighter III seems to have this fanbase of trolls whom have no penchant to play any other fighting games, or play any fighting game not made by Capcom. I think they enjoy boring gameplay and broken engines.

MK vs. DC DLC has been canned, it's official. This released Quan Chi render makes me sad.

That's the only render released, which makes sense since Midway entered financial trouble not too late after MKvsDC was released.

I was curious today about the Atari 2600, I never grew up with the system and it came before the NES, so naturally I decided to do some research and play it. I first started with Adventure, it may or may not have been a good decision, but for game that's nearly thirty years old it's surprisingly complex. I also decided to pick up the Atari port of Pac-Man, uh oh! A contributor to the video game depression! I was honestly shocked, despite the graphics being horribly dated in comparison to the smoother arcade graphics, gameplay-wise it's actually pretty faithful. The only thing I have against it, is how the ghosts blink very harassingly and how two tend to stick together alot.

So yeah, had some fun with that. My favorite's the port of Battlezone, it's pretty fun actually. The tank you control in game, actually looks more like a real tank than the ones in the original arcade game....

They're more complicated than they need to be, and shoehorning everyone into either Democrat or Republican and Conservative or Liberal is just dumb, as everyone has their own stances and it makes them all out to be the same.

Also, it always seems like "conservatives" are the assholes of the group.

Love that song, so much.

Anyways, mom's away for the weekend. Meaning tonight I'll be by myself, which is love to me. Because I can walk around naked, not really though that is an upside. Most of the reason I love it, is because I can then crash in the living room with a large HDTV and eat some pizza, burgers, whatever while enjoying one of my DVDs. Yeah, other than that not much else to say, other than that I re-got Snes9x. Of course, I can't say what I've played, as that's "illegal". It's hard as hell playing with only a keyboard at times, I need these usb ports fixed and get a wired 360 controller.

I need to get better at it, but from what I've played it's incredibly addicting for how simple it is. Simple, yet amazing.

Oh, and I KO'd Super Macho Man right in the face today as he was going "FEEL THE BUUUUURN!!", it was enlightening. In other news, two friends of mine from Spain got married together yesterday, but that's them.

It's an arcade version of F-Zero GX, the main difference being that the AX tracks and cars are already unlocked. The stuff you either had to encounter this machine to unlock in the console game, or beat Expert difficulty story chapters.

I prefer GX's a little more.

Title: Re: The Squared Circle.
Post by: Spring-Loaded on 22 July, 2009, 03:13:02 pm
I'd have to say that X's was better just because side-checking and spinning was done with the sharp-turn buttons. I much preffered that to having separate buttons for maneuvers. I think that would be better for online because the side-check in GX is too powerful and there's no real powerslide.

Title: Re: The Squared Circle.
Post by: Z911 on 22 July, 2009, 04:10:12 pm
It was only really gamebreaking for larger guys like Black Shadow and Don Genie, but they were normally extremely bad at turning and acceleration, barring that they're not snaking obviously. It didn't really bother me, but again I played GX before X.

Would've been awesome indeed, if I were rich, I'd try to find one on ebay or something and attempt to buy one.

I heard was only like 20 in the US, but I'm not totally sure. I'd really like to play one though.

Yeah, but if you believe that's true, it's time to take a reality check. >v>

What exactly are you getting at?

Oh, never mind. I get the feeling you're going to take offense at what I meant as a joke, so *shrugs* Nevermind.

I was actually confused, sorry. I didn't mean to come off as that.

Post by: Hawk_v3 on 12 September, 2009, 12:20:40 pm
Ah, no. All it is is that when people make up their own personas, they often fall into the trap of making them as... impressive as possible. I'll admit, I'm not exactly one to talk, but Hawk is just an extrapolated version as me. Some people extrapolate to the point of godliness.

Post by: Z911 on 12 September, 2009, 12:26:13 pm
Eh, I just draw them alot. I try to be unique, rather than impressive.

I know. It's just that suggested to me that he was equal to all of them.

Is it meant to be the inspirations for him?

Title: Re: Mr. Ass' Asylum for the Mentally Gifted.
Post by: Z911 on 12 September, 2009, 12:42:32 pm
Yeah, inspirations basically.

Krizalid = His jacket

Ace Ventura = His weird personality

Lizard = Should be obvious

Brock Lesnar = His physique

Frieza = Effeminate mannerisms and WORLD DOMINATION

*chuckles* Right. It appears I got the wrong end of the stick there.

I have to think on that, the inspirations I kinda just get reminded of as I tend to forget them or even they just inspire me indirectly. <_<

New desktop! This one's actually 100% made by me, all of my other ones have always had copyrighted images and whatnot, so I'm happy to make a decent one.

Playing Marvel vs. Street Fighter again, I'm reminded of how lame Cyber-Akuma is. "Hey guys, let's put Shin Akuma in, but make him like a dumb Mugen edit!"

Sorry for the crappy cellphone picture, I got all those in the last two weeks for less than $100, damn I love internet shopping.

From top-to-right going clockwise: Two ECW DVDs, Brak Show, Kenny vs. Spenny, Three Stooges, and Dragonball Z.

Anyways, life's been decent, work's been fine and actually gotten easier due to new regulations. My least favorite part which was dish washing has now been downgraded to just pan washing, so now it's half of how long it used to be.

Bio-Hazard Battle on Genesis, it's an awesome shooter that sticks out for having a mutated prehistoric era vibe to it.

Why wasn't Bret Hart at the opening ceremony in Vancouver? That guy's cooler than all four of those people, except maybe Wayne Gretzky.

I would have no use for GameFly. I love the value of owning something for both the obvious reasons and as material for a passing conversation.

I recently picked up TEW2005, which is a wrestling simulator-type freeware game. I'm gonna make a promotion with a bunch of wrestlers named after people I am on good terms with. I'll probably make a topic sometime with screencaps of everyone's profiles and anything humorous happens. I've already had a guy get attacked by another dude disguised as Santa Claus.
