FIRST EPISODE WAS PRETTY MEH, I THOUGHT. BUT IT STILL HAS MAJOR AWESOME POTENTIAL.

ALSO, IT'S WEIRD SEEING AMERICAN SUBURBS IN ANIME.

I thought the shots of American flags and extremely American names like Joey Jones were pretty funny. <_<

I started laughing the moment I saw flag cape and flag color scheme. Only in the manga, though.

Well, I can recommend it. It's not a groundbreaking super special awesome show, but it's pretty entertaining I think.

Heh, that's understandable, it's not exactly the most talked about anime. Like I said above, if you're looking for something to watch, I can recommend this.

It didn't look like the guy who picked up Kogorr's... eye thingie at the end was Minami, but I bet he'll play a large role... Especially since he's mighty pissed that Prof. Denton stopped the spheres before he could.

Yeah we still have three enemies left from the opening credits.... Minanmi was one.... Then there was the National Intelligence Agency.... And.... Haruko? Well it's a girl wielding a guitar as a weapon.... I think she's the one with the Kogorr's eye.... Thought if this turns out to be a crossover with FLCL and Heroman grows to Gurren Lagann sizes.... It would be the best anime ever!

Don't you love how the opening contains spoilers itself? I knew Kogorr would be just a disc one boss.... The opening said so....

Aren't openings almost always spoilers in some shape or form? And yes, it would be the best thing ever made.

No it would not be the best thing ever.... Until Kamina shows up it wouldn't.... I also imagined Capcom Vs. Gainax and I saw the best fighting game ever that will never be made.... I came, I sighed, I cried....

Anyway.... Who do you think got the eye? Haruko or NIA?

It's a good time to catch up, too, Since the first arc just finished and they're going to move into the next one.

So I'm only up to like, episode 7, but I'm getting a bit concerned. Does anyone else get a really creepy vibe that Heroman is sentient, but is also forced to act under Joey's control. He was created by a bolt of lightning from the alien's ship arriving, so I simply assumed that he somehow came from the aliens. But what's creepy is that, unless Joey tells him otherwise, Heroman can only move his eyes and his mouth, meaning he constantly has that menacing snarl, which I kind of take to mean that he constantly pissed off.

Basically, I think Heroman is an alien consciousness forced to fight his comrades against his will. I know it's kind of a leap, but that's how I'm going based on the evidence. He came from an alien ship, and so far, the only time Heroman has acted on his own is when he had to save his own ass, such as when he ran away from that big cone thing, and the others simply assumed he was "leading them away", y'know instead of getting the hell out of there.

Well, I'm not sure if it's spoilers or not at the point you're at, but Joey makes comments about hearing Heroman tell him things in his head. Also the end of the fight against the aliens... well, you'll see what I mean.

Alright, I think you'd be really hard-pressed to find someone who didn't think that was fucken'-awesome/10. I hope this show gets picked up for another season.

Well they clearly wanted a second season.... But I don't think it's gonna sell to well in Japan.... Last I heard Strike Witches was at the top....
