I was shown this earlier today.

Wacky. I read it might be a live action trailer for a new reboot game or something.

I literally just watched the first film yesterday. This is a sign of something. Of what, I do not know yet. That I know it is a sign...is where it will all begin.

Possibility of greatness

What if they do the same thing they did in the first MKs with the characters being pictures of actual people dressed up like the characters.

That looked like it could make for such a kickass film. Sure it looks like it was written as a bad fanfic, but the action could only be epic-tastic.

*Sees Jeri Ryan as Sonya*

How much of a nerd does it make me that I want to see it more now? Also, I see a lot of people elsewhere complaining that it doesn't follow the source material, but I think it gives the source material enough nods that it doesn't matter. Like how Scorpion thought he had killed Sub Zero, only to find out he had killed his brother Noob Saibot.

I feel like that Spring character

very good

And the story could introduce the franchise's supernatural-ness later on. And at teh very least, it will have the same appeal the Dark Knight films have ("what if this franchise took place in real life?" thing).

reptile is... they made him... i love it.

haters gonna hate, thats all i'll say. unfortunately, the source material does not translate to movies well. the original movies are proof of that. this, however, is a fantastic step in the right direction. imagine comic book joker in the dark knight. thats a negatory on that one. reinventing characters in a darker, more realistic (using that word lightly) way is what the series needs as far as a movie transition is concerned. i'm not loving baraka, but the whole thing still gives me the same feeling that i got from batman begins/the dark knight. this can only be a good thing.

i need to find reptile pics...
