Title: Road Trip Time
Post by: Ƨɒlƚy on 29 December, 2010, 06:22:39 pm
Starting on the 1st of 2011, I'm going to be going on a road trip up and down the western seaboard, going up to the Canadian border and back. I expect to be on the road for at least a week and a half, but I'll get on the internet whenever I get the chance. I may also be spending time with family in San Francisco and Seattle.

So, who wants me to drag Arnaham along with me?

yes, you must take him with you and film the trip so we can see all your wacky west coast adventures...

Also I totally plan to take this camcorder that somebody else got for Christmas and make crazy movies along the way.

Just to amuse myself. Driving all day is **** BORING.

Then ****'em. It's not like a week or two of missed classes will screw you over totally. You've already done just about everything you need to graduate.

Or at least, you should've.

the more imposing thing is that i would have to clear with my parents that i am going on a road trip with this guy from the internet

I'm not this guy from the internet. I'm just some random loser you met at an arcade and became friends with.

Or whatever random activity you enjoy you doing outside of your own home. I assume you do have one, right?

That really isn't any better. My answer is no. You should bring real friends or something.

My real friends have jobs and responsibilities. All you have is senior year in high school.

Judging from the fact that you're an Asperger's kid, I'm willing to bet that Salty is closer as a buddy than any of your real life friends, Ahriman. >_>

Yeah, so here I am in San Francisco, after an 8-hour, 470-mile drive that started just after I posted those videos. Got in last night after driving almost nonstop (I had to stop for gas 3 times, jebus prices are high on the I-5) and went to my Uncle John's house. Thankfully, he was awake, took me out for a burger, set me up with a place to sleep, and then I dropped off. He and his housemate (and their cats) have been good enough to me to provide a computer and internet access, which is how I'm posting this here for the lot of you. Pictures later. Couldn't take the camcorder with me, unfortunately. This one can still take videos, but they're kinda crappy. So just pictures.

So here I am in Seattle, at my aunt Jan's house. I set out from San Francisco about noonish yesterday, then drove up through Northern California, all of Oregon, and was about 90 miles out from Seattle when I hit snow. Being not an idiot, I promptly decided that I wanted to have ****-all to do with snowy driving, and turned off and found myself a motel. Stayed the night, got up, had breakfast, drove the two hours necessary to reach here, and now here I am.

Oh, did I mention that it was an 800-odd mile trip, and that I got into the motel about 10:30 p.m. or so? No. No I didn't. Yeah, long **** car trip. Passing Mt. Shasta was nice though. It was a wonderful view. The more or less constant rain through Oregon and Washington? Not so nice.

Also, lol gas station attendants. Never actually seen one before I stopped for gas in Oregon.

I'll edit in some pics later. Assuming I get around to it.

I have no idea what that means and even less inclination to spend any effort finding out.

On another note, spent the day with my uncle Jud.

...

I think my rage just crystallized into kidney stones.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go deal with an agonized urethra.
