The story begins with rumours of an extremely skilled warrior appearing in a town. The leading lady encounters him, but around the same time she also encounters a stranger who is eccentric, but friendly. Later, she finds herself in extreme danger and at the mercy of the warrior due to being decieved, only for the stranger from earlier to appear and reveal the warrior is an imposter, and that THEY are the true warrior. They then proceed to save the girl, beat the imposter and all his goons, and thus our adventure begins. Doesn't that sound familiar? (http://www.mangareader.net/118-5425-8/rurouni-kenshin/chapter-1.html) The plot itself wouldn't be nearly as bad, except how is Natsu recognised as the fire mage? "Rosy hair and a scale-like scar." How is Kenshin recognised as the Battousai? "RED hair and a CROSS-SHAPED scar." Seriously, was this bastard Mashima even TRYING when he Watsuki's work? You can't just say that after the first chapter.... And to say it in such a way too.... Maybe if you were joking about the similarities.... But you seem pretty serious.... And angry.... That said alot of show can be called similar if you talk about them the way he just did.... Remember when I was talking about Mayo Chikibeing like Maria+Holic? Except I wasn't being serious and hating.... It's kinda a good show.... It's just I watched it after Penguindrum, No.6 and the iDOLM@STER so it got overshadowed.... Although the premise is kinda similar.... The style, setting, characters and the way the first episode panned out were not.... See just looking at Fairy Tail I can tell it's a different setting and style.... I can think of a few reasons he'd come into it wanting to hate it....
