Nintendo have been spoiling europe as of late.... We've been getting a few things early and we will have all three operation rainfall games while you'll never see them....

Still I'm not really bothered with most the Wii games now....

They better release a gold 'Chuck to go with the Gold 'Mote yo.  Nintendo be trippn' if they think I'm gunna play with such a miss match of colours.

And NoA, or whoever is in charge of localization, sucks balls. :(

I'd like to propose that this topic should be turned into a general Legend of Zelda topic, given that we currently have two games on the way in the form of HD Wind Waker and, more crucially, A Link Between Worlds.

The most recent revelations about LBW are that it takes place years after LttP and that this is a new Link, the possibility of a second Triforce in the Dark World, and that Link switches between worlds by using his new drawing ability to enter cracks in certain walls. There's also this new screenshot showing a Nabbit-like character and an item shop full of things you normally find in dungeons.
Does anyone else think that it looks like Link is carrying a new item on his back? And he looks like he might be wearing some kind of apron?

As for HD Wind Waker, we already know about the altered graphics and faster sailing, but the most recent Nintendo Direct shows Link finding a Triforce shard in a cave/dungeon-like area instead of collecting it from a sunken chest like in the original game. They did say early on that this version will streamline the Triforce Quest so I wonder what this means...

Definitely looks like a new rod or something. Its probably the one between the Ice Rod and the green, grass looking one on the table (hence the place holder.) Kind of looks like a skull with rabbit ears to me.

Blacksmith Link? I'm super pumped for this game, just beat LttP again a few days ago and while its never been my favorite 2D game in the series its still neat. I just hope (pray, even) that there are new bosses. I know the dungeons are going to be new, but the first demo has Moldworm as a boss. Which is fine, he's probably the most iconic of the LttP bosses, but have some new ones as well please.

I really hope the Dark Triforce thing doesn't invoke Dark Link plotlines.

Oh, and latest official artwork.

I wonder if that bracelet is what allows Link to become a drawing/move between worlds?

So according to Eiji Anouma...

Collecting rupees, the currency of the Zelda world, will be very important in this game. You might think that was the case with all the past games too, but I must say that this time it will be more important than ever and you will need to collect a great deal of them.

Hearing this after seeing that screenshot of the shop with dungeon items in it makes me wonder if maybe you buy items and can tackle the various dungeons in any order or something.

I recall a picture of a shop with items (on my phone, can't look now) so its possible.

There's also apparently going to be some bundles for Wind Waker HD's release. One has the deluxe console with a special gamepad with gold highlights and a code for a digital copy of the game, while another has the game and a Ganondorf figurine.

Racist but hilarious. X3

I wonder if there will be, like, a dark triforce or something, which has been muttered about in the nerderies for ages... would be cool. :3

Called it. Near enough. Today's Nintendo Direct revealed that "after a certain point" in the game you can tackle the dungeons in any order you want with whatever items you want, renting them from Ravio's (the Nabbit-like character) shop.

I'm also intrigued by the appearance of a Zelda-like princess with dark hair called Hilda. As well as Zelda herself, of course.

Once again, the news today really revitalized my interest in the game. :3  I like that they are actually taking some risks and messing with the formula a bit.

Also, since it was not posted, here is the video from the direct this morning for those who did not see it.

Explanation about Ravio's shop from Aonuma on Miiverse.

Quote
In Ravio's shop, each of the items you can use in the game are on display from the beginning, but Ravio only has one of each item in stock, so if he sells them he'll go bust! For this reason, he set the purchase price for each item at an outrageously high rate. Unfortunately, that means Link can't move forward and Ravio can't sustain his business, so he decided to start renting the items at reasonable prices.
The rental period for each item is unlimited, so you can rent them for as long as you'd like, but if Link falls during his adventure and it's game over, the items will be returned to the shop. If you want to continue playing, you'll have to rent them again. After a while, you can eventually purchase the items, and once you do, you'll be able to keep using them even if you game over.
This may seem similar to the three day system in Majora's Mask where all your items are lost when you reach the end of the third day, but you'll be able to rent every item from the beginning if you can afford it. So unlike past Zelda games, you won't run into a scenario where you can't do something because you need a certain item that won't be available until later. I hope all of you will experiment with many different items and play as you like.

There's also this image of the bottom screen with Hyrule's overworld map:

And these two pieces of character art:

I was just commenting on that while they say it is a coincidence... that is SOME coincidence. :/  Same company, less than a year, so similar, hmm.

Also, thanks for the trailer, that one actually has me a lot more hyped for the game. :3  I was thinking of passing for now like I did with PH and ST, but this game... is just looking good. :3

Only personally. I really dislike the DW style games, but they seem to be making this a cool little fanservice title for one of my favorite franchises. I'm not sure whether I want to play it or not.
