Title: Tower of God Post by: Gaffit on 17 June, 2012, 02:08:07 am AKA Tournament Arc: The Series
I discovered this "manga" recently and it is truly awesome. Has anyone else been reading this? Quick rundown for those who aren't: Everyone lives in this massive tower with most (and by most I mean 7 billion people) living on the 1st floor (The first floor being around the size of Earth and an absolute hell hole). If you're chosen, you can attempt to climb the tower, which you do by taking a series of tests, sometimes in a team, sometimes by yourself. If you reach the top of the tower, you get your deepest wish granted. This is the story of a young lad who fell ass-backwards through this whole scenario. His name is Twenty-Fifth Baam, and unlike everybody else he is pretty much a completely normal person with no superpowers who accidentally finds himself climbing the tower in search of a friend who went to climb it before him. In doing so he befriends a massive alligator-man named Rak Wreckraiser and a cunning prankster named Koon whose trying his hardest to exploit all the loopholes and **** up the status quo with the help of an infinite briefcase. Did I mention it was awesome? Because I feel I cannot stress that enough. I have the right thing right? Title: Re: Tower of God Post by: Ƨɒlƚy on 17 June, 2012, 03:04:41 pm I read a little of it. The art style kinda threw me off so I never got much past the first chapter.

That's the one, but it's been translated onto most manga sites so I call it a manga. :/ I read a little of it. The art style kinda threw me off so I never got much past the first chapter. Yeah, all the art is drawn by one guy who busts out one of these a week so the early stuff isn't all that good. Here's a page from a recent chapter that shows off how the art looks now. http://i17.mangareader.net/tower-of-god/97/tower-of-god-3340371.jpg Title: Re: Tower of God Post by: Gaffit on 17 June, 2012, 04:50:20 pm AKA Tournament Arc: The Series I discovered this "manga" recently and it is truly awesome. The First floor is only ever shown in other characters' backstory, but basically the tower is ruled by this guy named Zahard who was the first to climb the tower who was also the first "irregular", someone who is not chosen to enter the Tower but enters by force. Historically speaking, the four Irregulars there's been in the past have been so powerful that they've brought the Tower to it's knees so that now Irregulars are universally feared. Unfortunately, Baam's an Irregular too. And Rak's a badass. (http://i.imgur.com/Aalf5.png) Title: Re: Tower of God Post by: ganonfloyd on 17 June, 2012, 04:51:49 pm *enters to say I like the name*
