Most of mister crazy Jack psycho's characterization is that he acts like he thinks he lives in an action movie, and that he'll do ANYTHING to further that end. And then he busts out the most cliched action movie ending ever as his personal heaven. It was inevitable, and really, to me, was just a show of how incredibly childish he was. That whole scene felt like it was just hammering out that point on an anvil, over and over and over.
