But in my opinion, dark and gritty realism does not go well with a guy who dresses in blue tights, wears red underwear outside his pants, and paints a red and gold 'S' on his suit after calling himself Superman. Always thrown out the window where Supes is concerned. Dark is possible, maybe gritty, but not realism.
