Smash has changed.

It's no longer about nations, ideologies or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. Smash, and its consumption of life, has become a well-oiled machine.

Smash has changed.

ID tagged players carry ID tagged weapons, use ID tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control.

Smash has changed.

The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield, controls history.

Smash has changed. When Battlefield is under total control, smash... becomes routine.

I'm no Smasher. Never was. I'm just an old player... hired to play some For Fun.

We will forsake our controllers.

We will leave our consoles behind and become one with the Smash.

We have no techniques, no mindgames, no combos.

We go where we're needed. Smashing not for victory, not for competition, but for ourselves.

We need no reason to Smash. We Smash because we are needed.

We are Smashers without borders, our purpose defined by the era we live in.

We will sometimes have to sell ourselves, and our characters. If the times demand it, we'll be tier-whores, cheaters, Johns.

And yes, we may all be headed straight to Final Destination.

But what better place for us than this? It is our only home. Our heaven and our hell.

This is Outer Battlefield.

Les Enfantes Briser... the Terrible Smash. That's what the project was called. It started in the 1990's. Their plan was to artificially create the most powerful Smasher possible. The player that they chose as the model was the man known then as the greatest living Smasher in the world...

He mentioned something interesting... Sakurai is pursuing new research. He claims that what they're doing in Final Destination is the missing piece. A weapon... to surpass Fox McCloud.

We're not tools of Nintendo or anyone else! Smashing was the only thing... the only thing I was good at, but...

At least I always smashed for what I believed in.

The data of Smash is transferred from player to viewer. That's how it works. But we have no audience, no views. Cloned from our opponents, with the ability to Smash conveniently engineered out. What is our legacy if we cannot pass the Smash?

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock.

lol

I observed a D&D game the other day at a bookstore. These people were being attacked by a guy made of worms. He was a servant of Kyuss who wanted to bring about the apocalypse. I knew I recognized that name for some reason when I saw how it was spelled and now they like me more because they think i have good taste and i went along with it even though I only know the name

but **** that ****, now we fight.

I would like to play someday, it is very interesting but I don't think autonomous behavior is encouraged which is why I would not last very long

i was going to suggest a homebrew campaign via skype where the last of us on here play together but I think this type of thing is already complicated enough locally lol
