Post by: Scourge the Hedgehog on 22 April, 2016, 03:57:17 pm
anyone going to get it?

I haven't even played the first one and was wondering if it was worth getting. Default's price NEVER drops on Amazon lol

random is right

Its a bit more talky than the first one and its very much a throwback RPG in terms of plot/characters. The job system remains amazing and there's lots of little gameplay touches that help the experience (stacking battle rewards, enemy appearance manipulation, etc.) If you dig any of the job system games or like customization in RPGs do it up.

oh yes lord. I loved FF5. Is there a Dragoon class?

The enemy appearance manipulation sounds interesting...I guess it's one of those things where you can screw yourself over if you indulge in it too much?

There's a valkyrie class which has jump and focuses on spears so its basically dragoon. The new classes are all pretty wild so far too which is nice.

Finished the first, will get Second for my birthday next month. It is, for all intent and purpose, a SNES Final Fantasy. Try the Demo, it is several hours long already

What did you think of Default, Niko? I can only imagine you loved it.

Second was on Amazon for $10 used. I went to go snatch it and someone instantaneously beat me to it.

Played, replayed, and re-replayed with a two chars, no spiritmaster/dark knight clause, inspired me to write a pen&paper version (unfinished).

Yep, I liked it. And contrary to most, I loved the second part as it was a nice hommage at Final Fantasy 1's time loop
