Yuji Naka's Prope studio is in Japan now too, what a confusing fellow.
I didn't know it was still part of SEGA though. It's listed here, but it's probably only because he's 10% funded by SEGA.
If you don't mind, I'm going to ramble on about my findings all night, k? k.

Ah! STUSA is in San Francisco! I knew it, I've always said City Escape looked like San Francisco!
Well, any city with lots of hills would look like city escape.
THink about it... the city he escapes from must be located 5 miles into the sky. I mean he runs down AT LEAST 3 miles of hill.
Well, it was more the designs of the mail boxes and those weird train-like things that go alone the road on a rail are what made me think of it more.
Glitch through the barriers and you'll find it is located in the sky, hurhur <_<

I'm staying up all night <_<
I was wondering why you were up this late, what time is it there?
<_< Didn't ask me but...
It's 10:32 am here. I just got up after a good nights sleep.
10:32? I thought you were 4 hours ahead of me, not 5.

Bah, I'm going to end up waking up at like 2 in the afternoon. >_>
Damn you, Raizor!
I always wake up a 2 in the afternoon. Today I woke up at 6 in the evening, though it was New Years the night before, so whatever <_<

SEGA made up their own term, 1.5 party <_<
And just just 3 years ago sold this 1.5 party developer of theirs for like 24 mill, I don't think they're 1up knew what they were talking about.

I'm on wikipedia though, if anyone couldn't tell <_<
"Success again (2006)
By the end of 2005, Sega experienced strong earnings growth across multiple divisions. Contributing to the company's success were strong pachinko sales[3], and sales of software titles Ryu Ga Gotoku (known as Yakuza outside of Japan), Mushiking, and Sonic the Hedgehog."
I thought Sonic 06 sold poorly?

Apparently it sold well in japan... Or the definition of success has changed since I last read a dictionary.

"Alhough Sega seemed poised to continue increasing profits, the company reported a massive drop of 93% profits for the period ending June 30, 2006 compared to the same period last of year. Net income for the company dropped from $98.3 million (a year earlier) to $7.12 million for this period ending"
...Oh.
"Despite this, Sega reported in November a massive 52% rise in profits for the periods between April and September 2006, compared to the same period last year. [14] Software sales for the company had also increased with 5.75 million. Of those units, 1.76 million were sold in Japan, 1.59 million in Europe, 2.36 million in the US and 30,000 in other regions. [15] a number of titles were said to have performed well"
Oh!

Maybe I just assumed it's 4 because you live in Europe, and 4 hours ahead of me is the only European time zone I know.

I know! They got pretty much owned. They said they lost so much money because of no major releases.
and yikes, the president of SoJ in 2000 died shortly after the Dreamcast was continued <_<
How many presidents does SoJ have? According to this, there were 3 presidents during 2000, not at different times either.

"Welcome to the next level"
Apparently that's their slogan, I didn't know that <_<
This Wiki article still has Yuji Naka as notable game designers, someone needs to bring this thing up to date.
Anyways, I suppose that's enough browsing on that subject...

Doesn't having more than one president of SoJ kind of defeat the purpose of a president that decides stuff on his own?

It does. Not only that, I couldn't find anything on any president that was still with them after 2001.

So perhaps they went from having 3 to having... none?
