Next 3D main Sonic game should have Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Metal Sonic playable. Still, Sega will most likely make Shadow a main playable character in the next 3D main Sonic game. Mark my words. That's not too bad though. Shadow is improving now.
Why make Metal Sonic playable out of the blue? It works if you're going for a hero-side/dark-side thing, but otherwise, it just seems random. So....who's hoping there will be more Sonic characters playable in the next SSB? <_<
I'm not, because they won't pick any of the characters I like. |

Shadow could easily be an Alt. Costume for Sonic with a different voice and running animation.

But yeah Knuckles would be a very over powered character if he wasn't toned down....

Anything can be done to fix him up though. Make him receive a higher knockback or a faster fastfall than other characters or something.
High knockback. -
Good recovery. +
High strength. +
Fast fastfall. -
Moderate Speed. Neutral.
Or just give him some worthless moves lulz.

For the lulz, if Metal Gear was treated like First/Second Parties.
Playable Characters: Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Solidus(This wasn't biased one bit.).
Boss: Metal Gear REX, or RAY, or even both at the same time, maybe even reenacting MGS4. <<
Also imo, Knuckles would be like Ike Stat-wise, Powerful with Super Armor, but still with a bit of speed.
