Shadow is a jackass and I hate his ****ing fanbase of fangirls who convinced Sega to do a ridiculous move and bring him back to life, thus ruining the plotline for Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow is a recolor. Shadow is lame as hell, and Knuckles became sidekick #2 because of him. Sonic Rivals doesn't count for anything, because Knuckles sucked in that. He's also an emo, because he has red markings on his wrist. >_> His fanbase is worse than himself though. What they need is a Scourge-only game. That's bound to cause a second crash in the video game industry.

Also, he's a cliché badass stereotype.
Shadow's the only character I have a true problem with. I don't HATE Silver, but I don't think he's that great either. Blaze is cool. Cream is...kind of annoying, but tolerable. Big isn't terrible either./endrant
