It puzzles me why so many people say the next Sonic game won't be good unless Sonic is the only playable character, yet those people all praised Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which had 3 different playable characters...

Probably because they don't want Sonic games to change. Sonic 3 & Knuckles had the same concept among all the characters with a few character-specific moves. They're just a bunch of blind fanboys. Sonic '06 was definitely more hyped than Secret Rings, and because of that they refuse to believe Secret Rings was the better game. |

And sometimes people act like multiple crappy gameplay methods that take attention away from the platforming/running still plague the series today... Shadow sucked, but was all one play-style, everyone in 06 played similarly, and Secret Rings only had Sonic... The last time multiple gameplay methods was a problem was 4 years ago with Heroes, due to poor implementation.

Meh, not too keen on the name but it doesn't bother me a lot. I'm more concerned of the storyline...
This is THE chance for the Sonic game to have a good story line since the sonic adventure days. I mean, if not even bioware can give sonic an epic storyline (Yes, an EPIC storyline, not wannabe fail epic like sonic '06), then no one can.

This man speaks the truth. The god awful gameplay could've been worked on and improved a hell of a lot. But the story was sadly set in stone. |
