It would just seem weird...
Sonic goes to kick Eggman's ass, he fails, loses Super form, loses Emeralds, turns into a werewolf, Eggman breaks the world apart, Sonic goes all over the world to get chaos emeralds.
All that's mostly fine and good to me, it would seem normal to find some characters along the way, but I just don't see how they'd fit in them tagging along when Sonic's a werewolf.
I don't know, they'll probably do it anyway, the ONM preview pretty much confirmed at least Tails and Amy.
