A revise of my old rant...

Regarding the "This characters ownz that character lulz" arguments.

Now, this is just me. A lot of people like pitting characters from different series against each other. And as long as it's ONE person judging it fairly, then I guess it's okay.

What really annoys me, is when people say something like "This character is much better than this character because this character is awesome and that character is not." Stuff like that, with no way of backing it up, just pisses me off. And whenever someone asks a question, like for example "who is stronger?" I always dread the worst. Because I KNOW that it will eventually turn into one of the mentioned series being gang-raped. Being alone, against 7 other people isn't fun. Imagine this:

You think the "A" series is fun. You think it's awesome. Then, 7 other people come along and say that the "B" series is much more fun. And better. And when you say that the "A" series is pretty good, they just say "Lol no u iz wrong. We iz more, so we iz right"

It's just not fair. And this is all a matter of OPINION. Why even bother discussing it?

I'm saying it right now. I won't participate in any "who would win?" Arguments from now on. Ever. EVERY single argument like taht I've seen, has ended with one series being supported by a few people, and another more popular series being supported by a lot. Which I just think isn't fair since it's a matter of opinion. No one can be objective when it comes to that. Not even me.


And yes, this was spawned from the "Who's stronger?" Topic on this board. Please note that I'm NOT FLAMING ANYONE FROM THAT TOPIC. This is a general rant, it applies to many more people than just you. I admit, I was kind of surprised that some of the people I speak a lot with could annoy me to such a great level... but please note that I don't think any less of you. I still like you, I'm just surprised that some of you were capable of annoying me so much...

Having actually read the above rant, I now realise I'm a total hypocrite. I try to keep an open mind and say everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I inevitably get sucked into arguments/debates like the "who would win in a fight" topic, because I have the nasty habit of interpreting other people's differing opinions (e.g. saying this character could beat that character) as an attack on things I like. But having read back through the topic, I now see that I was more on the attacking side...

it's another reason I'm anoyed, because I got sucked into it as well.

I entered it because there was a lot of people supporting bleach, so I went in and supported one piece to try to make things fair. (Yes, I'm looking away from Naruto because I don't think anyone voted that...)

And I ended up attacking back as well. Which got me even more annoyed. So I'm a hypocrite as well.

Well, it gets difficult to properly debate fights like that when people make a "Entire Series VS Entire Series" topic.

But for the most part, if you do a one on one fight, it's very easy to logically debate the winner.

I mean, I know no one would argue the fact that Goku vs Tenten would end in a Goku victory.
And if they did, they're naive and stupid. Goku can fly and has a power level of OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAND! Tenten throws stuff.

But some fights are pretty easy, but still generate flame wars.

Take Luffy vs Naruto. Luffy would win easily, mostly because I don't think Naruto could do anything to hurt Luffy outside of going Kyuubi, and even then, that wouldn't ensure Naruto's victory.
