I felt so bad when Itachi died...seriously then the true story of itachi came up.

What ruined it is how long we had Itachi's character built up as evil cold-hearted villain. Hr waited so long that suspicions started to arise. So it didn't come as a surprise that he was a good guy.
Seriously. it should not take 400 chapters to get the entire backstory of a main character. Also, if anything, Naruto is the character with the best backstory, as in circumstances. Compared to others, his is nothing.
