Well, Leafninja.com always posts a brief description of the new chapter once the translation comes out. And I always read that before I even bother reading the manga. And they have never been wrong for as long as I've been checking, so I trust them.

Yes, I'm upset about what Kishimoto did with Tobi. Upset doesn't even begin to describe it. Next week better have a good explanation as to what the heck is going on, or I'm going to stop reading Naruto.

I mean, this is just horrible. It's not even a clever plot twist. It's very, very stupid and makes absolutely no sense.


As much as I hate the ObiTobi theory, I would have preferred that coming true to this crap. Heck, I would have preferred Tobi dying in the explosion to this.......Kishimoto just seriously ruined a perfectly good character in my opinion.

It wasn't unexpected. Why would Kishi introduce a character like that just to have him be a nobody?

Yeah, but there is a difference between revealing a character to be someone who actually would make sense, as opposed to seemingly randomly making a character someone else.

As much as I hated the ObiTobi theory, at least it made sense. Revealing Tobi as being Obito would have annoyed me a bit, but ultimately, I would have acknowledged that the signs were there and moved on.

This though.....this is so random and out of the blue, that it does not make sense. From the moment he was first introduced, never have we been led to believe that Tobi is an evil mastermind. There has not been the slightest clue that this would happen.

Further more, look at who Tobi is. Why do people like Tobi? As a huge Tobi fan, I can tell you why. Tobi is an idiot. Tobi is funny. Tobi is comic relief. Tobi....well, Tobi  is a good boy! That's why people like Tobi! And to do something like this.....it totally contradicts the entire essence of the character Tobi. It makes no sense, and it seems totally out of character for Tobi.

I mean, this is just really bad writing. Yes, everyone knew there was more to Tobi than being a good boy. This, however, is not what anyone expected, and is not what anyone wanted.

When you right a manga, yes you can do anything you want. But if you don't explain it in a way that makes sense, then people are going to be mad. And if you take a character that people loved because he was a goofy, light hearted character, and turn him into this evil mastermind......well, you're going to have a lot of angry fans.
