Anyway, who saw the Oscars? I was particurarly pissed that No Country won so much, and about all TWBB got was best actor. But John Stewart was still funny, at least there's that.

>.> Where's your patrioctic spirit! Don't you want to see Geroge Clooney deliver another speech in which he says stuff he doesn't truly believe for shocks and appreciation from the media?

I think 3:10 should've won more, and I was pleasantly surprised that Bourne Ultimatum won some stuff. I want to see No Country.

I never bothered with 3:10, I don't like Westerns. I was surprised Brone won too, and even more shocked who the baby went to >.>
I don't know about No Country. I'm sure it'll be good, it's just it beat out the movie I saw in almost every category.

I'm not even sure what There Will Be Blood is about. I'd never heard of it until like a week ago.

Synopsis of TWBB: Set on the incendiary frontier of California's turn-of-the-century petroleum boom, the story chronicles the rise of Daniel Plainview, who transforms himself from a down-and-out silver miner raising a son on his own into a self-made oil tycoon. When Plainview gets a mysterious tip that there's a little town out West where an ocean of oil is oozing out of the ground, he heads with his son, H.W., to take their chances in dust-worn Little Boston. In this hardscrabble town, where the main excitement centers around the holy-roller church of charismatic preacher Eli Sunday, Plainview and H.W. make their lucky strike. But even as the well raises all of their fortunes, nothing will remain the same as conflicts escalate and every human value--love, hope, community, belief, ambition and even the bond between father and son--is imperiled by corruption, deception and the flow of oil.
And no, I did not write that. It's really quite good. One of the best performances I've ever seen.

Well, I consider any movie over 75% on that site to be worth watching, unless it's a Licensed Superhero movie like X-men or Batman, then it doesn't matter.

Oh, I never really bothered with that site. Is 91 really high?
So, would you see Santa Claus Conquers the Martians?

Probably, despite me knowing it's almost on the same tier of awfulness as Plan 9 from Outer Space.
