do not compare people to David Bowie. Its not fair to them. Granted, Heroes isn;t exactly my favrotie song by him, but he is, IMO, vastly supeior to Apocalyptica.

Bowie's best work was easily Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, with Low coming in at a close second. Heroes was the beginning of his downfall, which although he did make a huge comeback with the aforementioned Low, and Ashes to Ashes, only to suck again.


The 70's was a great time and a bad time for music, but I remember it for the good. It's my second favorite era of music, after the 90's, which was subliminal.

no faux pa, its just Heroes is considered his sell out point, as much as I hate to throught hat term around because it ****ing sucks.

And I know nothing of Rammstein, except Du Hast.

What a shame. Du hast is good, but by no means their best.
I suggest you look up "Rosenrot" and "Reise, Reise" for some good Rammstein.
If you like that, come back and I'll suggest more. Though, to like Rammstein, I think you either have to not care about understanding lyrics, or you have to like it enough for what you initially hear to go look up the lyrics (herzeleid.com has all of them) and maybe even try learning them.

They're a very clever band, and that has a lot to do with why I like the songs of theirs that I like.

I might, I'm not a big fan of Industrial Metal, or Industrial in general, with NIN being the exception.

It's hard to classify Rammstein actually, since they have so much variety in there tracks. One song they could be doing soft rock, while in another they can be full on power metal.

Their "officially" classified as Industrial Metal or "Dance Metal" though, so that's just what I go with.
