I wasn't sure at first, but so far I'm really liking the 0 Division. Thanks to them (and Ichigo and Renji's reactions) I'm actually enjoying the Bleach manga more than I have in a pretty long time.

I always say that Kubo writes better comedy than action.

Yeesh... I don't think I like this turn the "Unohana teaches Kenpachi" storyline has taken. It just feels like too huge a departure from how Unohana's been presented throughout the entire series up to this point (especially given it's probably right before her death, from what Kyoraku said). It doesn't help that I'm also watching the Gotei 13 Invading Army filler arc right now, which makes Unohana's new temperament even more jarring. Plus I've always been a big fan of KenpachixUnohana and Kubo's basically just taken a massive dump on that OTP.
I'd like to know how such an apparent monster wound up becoming the motherly, Yamato Nadeshiko captain of the medical/support division, though (hopefully it won't be revealed that it was all a facade and underneath she doesn't really give a rat's ass, 'cause that would probably completely kill the character for me). And Kenpachi's exact reasoning for naming Yachiru after her. I know he's got more than a few screws loose, but naming the closest thing you have to a daughter after a hated adversary? That just seems weird.
Also, the zanpakuto stuff reminds me of the Zanpakuto Unknown Tales filler arc.

Hm... Okay, this chapter makes me feel a bit better about this scenario, but I still think it's a big shame that, barring some kind of asspull, Unohana's going to be killed off soon. I just hope we get the full story before she cops it, without any "left to interpretation" BS.
Also, I know it's all to make Kenpachi stronger, but I can't help feeling that a fight to the death involving one of the most powerful remaining captains (and one of the original Gotei 13 that what's-his-name went on about being so great) is a bit of a stupid idea right now, especially given that the Shinigami have just lost their most powerful member.

I'm glad I gave Kubo the benefit of the doubt, because this is being handled pretty well. I still have quite a lot of unanswered questions about Unohana, though, so I hope we see more of her past before she croaks.
That's my main worry about Bleach right now, actually. There's quite a lot I've wanted to know for a long time, and I'm concerned that most of the loose ends (for want of a better term) won't get tied up before the series finally wraps up.

Huh...
And now Ichigo will have a talk with Isshin, I guess.
Im more interested in Ishida, though. And Aizen.

And so we never find out why Unohana changed from bloodthirsty, mass-murdering psycho to caring, motherly head of the healing division, along with a zanpakuto whose shikai seems to be primarily for healing (and we'll never see her bankai or learn the release command). And if she really did care about those under her command/care or if it was all just a facade. Great. ¬_¬

In time, Im sure. Some of that could be addressed in a flashback from Isane. Have we even learned how they met? Unohana's death could lead to developments for her...maybe then it wouldnt have been such a pointless death.
Atleast we learned why she mastered healing to begin with. Number one, to counter the apparent ability of her own bankai. And also to enjoy fighting for longer periods. Her bankai was too similar to Barragan's aging power, but it justified her learning how to heal, atleast.

What? When did she use her bankai?
