But still, With those hyped up Vizard abilities, you'd think he'd go on an owning rampage and generally be tons of awesome but noooo... He has to get owned by someone who isn't even the strongest... >_>

You have to bear in mind that Ichigo is still pretty inexperienced with his hollow mask. Plus, it'd just be extremely dull if he instantly owned everyone due to a special ability.

Another thing you have to bear in mind is that the only arrancar that "owned" Ichigo in Hueco Mundo was Ulquiorra. There's a very good chance that Ulquiorra used to be a Vasto Lorde before being made an arrancar. And It's been stated that just ten Vasto Lordes would be enough to defeat all of Soul Society. When you consider that, it's not surprising he owned Ichigo.

What about the old Captains that were made into hollows in the recent animes?

Do you think they'll play an important role?

Well, if Ulquiorra did used to be a Vasto Lorde, then chances are that the top three Espada, being more powerful than him, were Vasto Lordes too. Now, considering that just ten Vasto Lordes would apparently be enough to defeat all of Soul Society, I'd say the captains & lieutenants need all the help they can get. This leads me to believe that not only will the Vizard get involved, but so will Kisuke, Yoruichi, Tessai and (possibly) Ichigo & Uryu's dads.

Well, presumeably it'll be explained soon, what with Kisuke & Tessai arriving on the scene. I'm guessing it's something to do with the orb of distortion, though. Or at least, blurring the barrier between shinigami & hollow. Like preliminary stuff to Aizen's plans with the arrancar.
