My god that man's an idiot... >_<
"No zanpakuto can use both water and fire!"
"You're right. Now let me explain how it really works! You'll find this really cool and I'm sure it won't bite me in the ass!"
It's not as if there aren't plenty of other places Kubo could've had Renji step in, instead of robbing Kensei and Rose of more potential glory.

You know that every Captain that isn't whiteboy or Kenpachi is a jobber.
This time, they're just jobbing for Jobber#1.

I don't know, I think just Komamura and the Vizard Captains tend to be jobbers. Maybe Soifon and Ukitake as well. The others just don't get as much action as the favoured characters, except Kenpachi, Hitsugaya and possibly Byakuya.

As annoyed as I am by how he came into the fight, I have to say it's at least nice to see Renji being successful for once.

Hm. What a convenient explanation for his jobbingness.
Still, this new one is pretty cool.

So he was a jobber because his sword thought he was a jobber?
What an absolute dick.

So... does that mean that everything that's happened between the Shinigami and the Quincies was just to keep Juhabach alive? Or at least able to move and sense things?

Well, surprising as it may seem, that's the best writing Kubo's done in a long long time.

I only hope that he has some influence or control over those he puts a bit of his soul into, otherwise all of his followers are complete idiots.
