They move without any outside force acting upon them.
One entrance, one exit.

Alright, I'm assuming your familiar with the rules regarding Portals correct?

Can they be modified to not follow those rules if they can't transport characters?

I'm sorry but I don't take bribes. Basically the rules that they can't be used directly on your opponent and they can only be used once every 2 turns will still apply. Other than that, I think the set will run you about 140 JD.

Very well then. Can I at least bend it so much so that the turn rules only apply upon the turn which the thing emerges from the exit?

So basically you want to be able to stay between the portals for more than one turn? I suppose that reasonable, considering I've seen people do the same with darkness control.

Actually, I don't want it for the purpose of refuge (though I suppose I could use it that way). I had something much more diabolical in mind.
Ah, another two questions come to mind.
1. How much more would it cost it implement a function which locks either the entrance or the exit closed, preventing anything which has entered from exiting, or being withdrawn?
2. What exactly are the rules about affecting your opponent directly with a portal?

I'd like to know what diabolical thing you have in mind before bending the rules for you. You can send it to me via PM if you don't want it revealed. Also, the exit closing thing is pretty much implied isn't it? Considering the portals are controlled by being connected to your mind. And Affecting your opponent directly with a portal means you cannot use your portals on any part of your opponent or on their IW weapons (of course it still works on anything created by the weapon. So you can't portal away the gun, but you can portal the bullets to hell if you like).

60 JD for the staff, 40 for the lasers, and 50 for the energy barriers sounds about right, so that comes to 150 JD.

I've reviewed how Salty intends to use the Portals, and I've concluded that he will use them in a reasonable manner.
*Waits for Salty to buy them or not*
By the way, which characters are these for?

Well, I've got two characters in mind. Versaren, and Con Briofe. Two sets of rings would come to about 280 JD, correct?

Yeah, what is their respective AP count? I don't remember either of them having bought anything before.

Neither of them has bought anything before right? If they haven't, Cat with 20 AP should have 500 JD, while Con with 7 should only have 240. Edit: Also, looking at it now, Versaren should have 340 JD and Zetta should have 280 JD. Your profile lists them with the wrong amounts. I'll go through the mart and see if the mistake was on my end.
