I dunno why but I think this movie is why Heath killed himself...
I seriously don't think he killed himself. I do believe he was on the meds in the first place because of the role, but I think the overdose was accidental.

See....I have mixed feelings about this movie.
I do agree that it looks like a generally good movie, and I bet Heath Ledger probably gave an Oscar-winning performance.
But....I don't think this looks like a good Batman movie, and I don't like the way they portrayed the Joker.
Now, I haven't seen the movie, these are just my impressions based on the trailers I've seen...but...like I said, I have mixed feelings. I'm uneasy about seeing this movie.
Especially because I tried watching the movie before this, Batman Begins, and....I thought it was horrible. I couldn't even watch it.
I grew up with Batman, and he's definitely one of my favorite super heroes of all time...but...I don't think these newer movies really do justice to the Batman franchise.
The worse part is, I don't want to dislike it. I don't know why...maybe it's because people get so worked up about this being Heath Ledger's last film...and I feel that if I dislike it, I'm insulting him...but I don't want to dislike it and I'm afraid if I watch it, I will.

just see the damn movie instead of assuming its not gonna live up to your expectations. nothing in life is ever as good as you make it out to be. trust me. just see the stupid thing and then maybe i'll listen to you. until then, all you're doing is bitching about something you don't yet know.

I have no problem with those feelings ZF, I preferred the Tim Burton films over Batman Begins actually.

Without insulting you for your opinions... >_>
What did you not like about Batman Begins? Is it the fact that Christopher Nolan tries to stake Batman into a more realistic world and context than he probably has been in the past? If so, then yes. You probably will not prefer this portrayal.
I think, for me, that the reason I enjoy these movies so much is because it's so real. They not only make it more believable, but they show us what it takes for someone to actually step up and be a hero, and this film in particular teaches us what being a hero really means.
It's just so deep and the acting is so good, I think you would be depriving yourself if you did not see this movie.
But I can't make you.

I liked Batman Forever a lot...
Also, out of curiosity.
SPOILERS
Does anyone know if they intended to have the last scene with the Joker go that way, or was something else never filmed because of Ledger's death? If it was the first one, then its really the only flaw I can think of with the movie, it ends the Joker sort of with a fizzle rather than a bang.

I SERIOUSLY DREAMT OF FLOYD BEING A KILLER CYBORG WHO RAN 10 TIMES FASTER THAN ANY NORMAL HUMAN, AND THEN KILLED MM, TURNED FEMALE, WENT AFTER ME, AND I DROPPED FROM THE SKYSCRAPER! IT HURTED, BUT I AWAKE CALMLY, THINKING I WOULDN'T SEE YOU AGAIN.
