Maybe not, but they're still metal. *magnetically keeps them just at bay, as the kinetic strike arrives, a turn late, plastering the landscape with molten metal, wrecking anything under it*
(*prays WAR's nanos are set to grey goo as well*)

*The nanobots shape around Hawk enough to hold him in place as W.A.R. rams into Hawk, his hyper-heated form splashing melted metal onto him as W.A.R.'s magma states covers Hawk*
*As W.A.R.'s body degrades, the explosives stored within his body self-destruct in a massive explosion*
(That was, by far, the single most ****ed up Take-You-With-Me attack I've ever written...)

I may be a cheap dirty fighter- Hell, I pride myself on it sometimes- but I ain't going to wreck someone's fight just because I happen to be able to rip 'em apart. It doesn't make for a good fight.
And I was seriously tempted to press the point about "Are his nanos grey goo?", but decided not to.
How much is WAR worth?
And is maverick a GMB, or just a powerup?
And do you plan on giving him other modes?

That's mostly what makes you an honorable opponent.  If by Grey Goo, you mean self-replicating, then yes, but not in the out-of-control end-of-the-world way. Replication is controlled by W.A.R. as needed. They also need some metal in them in order to be stable. W.A.R. is worth 1 AP and the Maverick Mode was a just a powerup. I'm planning on giving him more modes later on down the line, but I'm having trouble thinking them up. If you have any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them. |

I was planning on using them as a shield/absorber by putting them in the way of WAR, but as he controls them that would have failed miserably. I'll have a think.
