Everyone goes to the south-west part of the ship, killing things as they come and waiting for the two arms to close to take these out. Magic is inneficient here due to resistances. Abuse the Initiative order, ensure that you don't move until the two turns the head get are used then alpha strike with everything you have. Also, get the Achilles sword to get wo more battle and the corresponding XP if you don't Egress. Still hard, but as long as you're doing the most damage possible on your alpha strike, the surviving guys should get enough time to kill the beast. Not as hard as, say, the Chess battle, if you ask me.
