I'm pretty sure they just haven't figured out how to censor stuff in profiles, or profile comments. Swearing in profile comments was an issue a while ago.
I have no idea if it's still there because it's hard to fix, or just if no one even bothered.

What our current solution is to report said swearing to a Mod/admin currently online via PMs.
