I'm going to assume you all know the rules for these things already, so I'll just say that I did specifically leave off characters that would have landslide victories. (read:Kamina) And it was actually pretty hard to do so there are some characters that will undoubtedly win certain matches and 2 series' that have two characters from them in the contest. Also, I don't care if you don't know who anyone is; just vote for whichever one sounds more interesting, I guess.
And boring as it may be, creating my own descriptions is a pain so I decided to use Wikipedia articles, while adding whatever else I have to say along with it.
Archer
He is the Servant of one of the series' main heroines, Rin Tōsaka. Due to an incomplete summon, he apparently has no memory of his previous life or identity. Archer is sarcastic and cynical - but under his hardened exterior lies a complex and dark personality that unfolds throughout the story. Though skilled with ranged weapons, he can hold his own in mêlée combat. Archer considers Shirō Emiya's idealism to be weak and delusional, recognizing Shirō's mentality of "wanting to save everyone" as naïve and impossible.
Other than that, he is the origin of the term GAR, which for those who don't know basically translates to really manly. And he has the best attack ever, called Unlimited Blade Works. You could probably find a video of it on Youtube if you care enough.
Nozomu Itoshiki
See sig for an image. >_>
The main character of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, a high school teacher and the youngest son of the Itoshiki family. When his name is written horizontally it resembles zetsubō (絶望, zetsubō? "despair"), befitting his extremely negative, paranoid and pessimistic attitude. He often shouts "I'm in despair!" and attempts suicide several times, though rarely with serious intent. Most of the main girls seem to have feelings for him but only because they misunderstand what he said to them (during the episode about them).
Don't really have anything to add, I just like his overly suicidal attitude and DESPAIRING.
And it seems I need to remind people that I don't care whether you know who anyone is or not. In fact I made this specifically so nobody in this was well known on this board, just so the results wouldn't be overly predictable.
