The official trailer for that new Wolverine movie they're making.
Deadpool is supposed to make an appearance in this movie.
And, well, the trailer has him showing up for like....a second.
And I can already tell that they've screwed up his character.
THEY DON'T HAVE HIS MASK ON!
What the hell? Do they even realize why Deadpool always wears his mask? It's because he's ugly! He has a face not even his mother could love! His healing factor works by bonding with his cancer! It's left him horribly disfigured and scarred!
Hell, who wants to start taking bets that they won't include any 4th wall breaking?
God, if they make him a serious character, I'm going to be even angrier.
Damn it, and I was looking forward to Deadpool's cameo.

he won't break the 4th wall. you can bet on that. as for the mask, thats what made him! but i saw the blob. that looks weird....

See, and that's the problem.
If you're not going to do the character right, don't include him at all.
Especially when we're talking about Deadpool.
Deadpool has a very vocal fanbase.
And I can tell you what we're going to be expecting.
-His zany, off-the-wall, pop-culture laden sense of humor
-at least one 4th wall breaking joke, even if it is very subtle.
-an unusual voice.
Truth be told, Deadpool doesn't break the 4th wall that often. Just every now and then.
So while we don't expect him to break the 4th wall in every scene, we're hoping for at least one joke.
And in reality, I knew they probably weren't going to include the 4th wall humor. I'll still expect it and complain when I don't get it, but I won't be that surprised.
But the no mask thing makes me mad, and if they screw up his personality or voice, I'm going to be mad.

I have to admit, fourth wall breaking in the middle of a serious movie like Wolverine would be pretty hilarious.
Deadpool: *Tells joke after going a few rounds with Wolverine*
Audience: *Laugh*
Deadpool: Hope they laughed, that was a good one.
Wolverine: Wut?

*after the credits are done rolling*
Deadpool: *looking at the camera* Ok folks, the movie is over. Move along. Nothing more to see. Go home.
Or something like that.
