This isn't relevant to this site at all, but whatever...

A "fan" is just somebody who enjoys something, a "fanboy" is a male, obsesser over that. In addition, a "fangirl" tends to be a female, raving lunatic when it comes to the object, anime, whatever that they adore.

^ That is a good definition, but here is another example:

Joe over here is a Roy fanboy. He thinks Roy is better than Marth and no fact to the contrary will ever sway his opinion! He likes him partly becuase he has such a deep personality in FE 6. (Tongue)

Bob over here is a Roy fan. He think Roy is cool looking and he fits his playstyle, but he know for a fact that Marth is better because the facts prove it. He still uses Roy and likes him, but he knows that his personality sucks in FE 6.

Does that make any sense?

Lol I have never played FE at all but I can say that last bit was just your opinion... He may have been not as good as Marth in Melee but saying his personality sucked in a game is completely your opinion.
