I was definitely in full support of Balalaika in the Hanzel and Gretel arc and hoped to see her psychologically twist the kids' minds even more. Although later she became more seemingly antagonistic to Rock and Revy, but it didn't ruin her for me. I actually liked her more in season 2 overall, because (hopefully my memory is right here >_>) she didn't get much development in season 1. In the first arc, I supported her, and in the last arc, I didn't. As for Chang, it's hard to say. His role wasn't that big (I don't even remember his presence after the first arc of season 2). But nonetheless, he was awesome.
I did like season 2 more than season 1, but it was disappointing to see that Dutch and Benny were reduced to very minor roles though.
