I have to disagree about being in full support of Balalaika. She's badass and an extremely interesting character, but she's a horribly twisted person. The only thing admirable about her is that she has found her true purpose in life. Chang is almost as bad; the manga reveals a fact about his past that suggests he just gave up (it also might lead to even more awesome references to Chow Yun Fat; I pray for flashbacks).

I asked about the Balalaika thing because in Youtube video comments (yeah, I know), people were saying "**** that old man and his son! ;-;" when he killed Gretel at the end while nothing was said about Balalaika who had a child killed for revenge as opposed to putting them out of their misery and getting money to help a sick loved one. There's some ruby-tinted glasses on some folk if you ask me.
