I think if I had played SH4 before SH1, I would've thought it was scarier. Regardless of whatever faults that game had, it was definitely a terrifying fucking game, and I respect it for that.

those twin victims tho

Leave, which apparently is pretty much the default ending. When I replay I'll go for In Water, I hear that one's the best.

I just got to the Amusement Park. Yeah, the subway was confusing as fuck, and I realized I missed a map after like 30 minutes of wandering around.

BEAT SH3. WAS ALRIGHT, BUT A LOT OF PROBLEMS. A LOT OF THE ENEMIES WERE BULLSHIT, LIKE THE CRAWLY THINGS AND THE SPINNY BLADE THINGS. NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN PAST, BUT YOU ALSO GET PUNISHED HARD FOR TRYING TO FIGHT THEM. IT CAME ON TOO STRONG TRYING TO BE SCARY. THE MUSIC WAS ALWAYS BLARING AND THERE WERE SHITTONS OF ENEMIES EVERYWHERE, AND THERE WAS BARELY ANY BUILDUP, JUST LOUD MUSIC AND ENEMIES EVERY RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY LEVEL. AS FOR THE STORY, NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TWO. TOO STRAIGHTFORWARD, INTRODUCED A BAD GUY IMMEDIATELY, LACKED THE ABSTRACTNESS AND SURREAL ATMOSPHERE OF THE FIRST TWO AND WAS INSTEAD PRETTY MUCH A GOOD VS. EVIL THING. I DID LIKE HEATHER THO, SHE'S A CUTIE.

At some point, but I'm taking a break from Silent Hill. Now playing Katamari Damacy. This soundtrack is amazing.

Playing Gothic. Shit is a real-deal RPG like I've never played before. Like 3 hours in and I've only completed 2 quests and I can't even kill a wolf.

i just wanna shill Gothic real quick, you can get all 3 games for like 3 bucks on the steam sale, 1 is good but 2 is amazing. it's one of the most content-dense games I've played, the world feels alive, the quests all relate to the main plot and to each other in an organic way rather than just "hey go to random generic dungeon and grab random thing," it doesn't hold your hand, the quests are pretty much like "hey my friend went missing, last I heard he went east" and then you have to talk to everybody while piecing together the little bits of information you get to solve the quest while getting new quests from the people you talk to, the sense of progression is amazing because your character swings a sword like an idiot at the beginning and everything kills you but when you actually get good enough to go off the beaten path and fight dangerous monsters it feels great. play Gothic 2
