fucking twice tonight overwatch has crashed immediately as i join a comp match, docking me 50 sr and suspending me. apparently the specific reason for my crash is a common problem too. fucking bullshit

I think Hollow Knight was especially bad about that because the movement honestly didn't feel too great. There's no friction, acceleration, or weight. It just feels floaty as fuck so moving from place to place is just a chore. It doesn't help that there's barely any real platforming so there's just nothing fun about going through an area after the first time.

With the exception of the crystal dash, but there's only so many rooms in the game where you can even use that. Adding some vertical mobility to that could have made for some cool movement challenges.

It's funny that you call the movement floaty, too, because one of the key speedrunning tricks for this game involves an exploit that completely cancels gravity and just lets you float across gaps and up to ledges.

Can't count the number of times I wished there were more vertical movement options. Since they trivialized platforming for the most part, they should have just gone all out with crazy movement abilities. Or they should have made the whole game more like the White Palace, maybe a little less difficult. That area did a really good job of incorporating all the movement options into challenging platforming. lol at the speedrunning thing.
