Starting tomorrow their debt holders can call in all $150 million of the money the company owes. The company's holdings are currently valued at $10 million, so this will spell the immediate and complete destruction of Midway if this happens. Not to mention it wouldn't take EA long to try and most likely succeed in buying their IPs. As long as they hire Ed Boon, they can do whatever they want. But it'll still suck. Midway, for all their mediocre recent releases and inability to progress past arcade-style thinking were still a great company, and they're the last big American game company, not to mention the oldest surviving one.

I'd say I didn't care, but they did have MK and they used to be a juggernaut of a company. As long as Ed Boon sticks with MK, I'll be fine if another company makes the games.

Floyd is the devil.
I SERIOUSLY DREAMT OF FLOYD BEING A KILLER CYBORG WHO RAN 10 TIMES FASTER THAN ANY NORMAL HUMAN, AND THEN KILLED MM, TURNED FEMALE, WENT AFTER ME, AND I DROPPED FROM THE SKYSCRAPER! IT HURTED, BUT I AWAKE CALMLY, THINKING I WOULDN'T SEE YOU AGAIN.
*no gold, just us*

Midway ended a long time ago, in one way or another.
