One Piece: Adventures of the Seagull Pirates! (Chapter 7 is UP!)

Alright guys! I've undertaken an epic task here. I'm making my own One Piece fanfic about my very own One Piece fan crew, the Seagull Pirates. Partially, this thread is to just discuss my story in general. But this thread will also be used for a few other things.

For starters, I'll be posting profiles of the crew members as they show up in the story. It'll mostly just be Tektek avvies of the characters with a little bit of information, but I'll update the profiles as the story progresses. But, I'm going to put the profiles in a separate post, so hold on a second while I get that post set up.

Also, I'm thinking about doing an SBS corner every 5 chapters, like Oda does in the One Piece volumes. So if you have any questions about the series, ask away, and I'll answer the ones I like to the best of my ability.

Yup, but only Roark's story arc is going to have a lot of TTGL references. After that, I'm going to tone it down a little bit.

I tend to pull inspiration from as many sources as I can for each crew member to try to make them unique.
When I thought of a Drill Drill Fruit, I knew I had to use that character as a fond reference to TTGL.

Wait until you see all the references and jokes in the next big story arc. >_> I'll give you a clue. I have a running gag with the names of all the crew members that I don't want to reveal quite yet, but the next character is one of the only two characters whose name origin was really used to plan their character.

Well guys....I have Chapter 4 typed up...but Fanfiction.net is being stupid and not letting me post it. *sigh* Some stupid error.

The worse part is, I may not be able to get onto the computer for two weeks after today, so I would really like to get it up before I vanish again.

I shall not reveal the secrets of how I named my characters!
*cough* Everymember of the Seagull Crew is named after a video game character...mostly Nintendo characters, but at least two are named after Capcom characters who have appeared on Nintendo consoles.*cough*

Roark is about 40% Kamina, 40% older Simon, 15% original, and maybe 5% Franky.
At least that's the direction I'm trying to take him in.

I figure that if I get an itch to publish my original stuff online, I'll go there....but for my fanfics, I more than happy to feed them to the drooling masses of Fanfiction, and just rely on my friends for some serious opinions.
