Hmmmm, I'm on L's side, but I still find Light enjoyable. He's too egotistical but other then that a good... antagonist? I know he's the main character but I see him as the antagonist.

I tend to prefer the original Japanese voices, but sometimes reading translations takes a bit away from it.
Eh, I still try to find subs first.
Also, the whole L vs Light thing is getting really interesting. I'm at episode 10 I think.

The main character can't seem like the antagonist. He can seem like the villain, but not the antagonist. The antagonist specifically refers to the person against the protagonist, they don't need to be bad or good respectively.

And I like and hate Light. In terms of morals, he's absolutely horrible and his methods are nonsensical, but I like him as a character a lot. He's a great psycho.
L doesn't seem to change a whole lot, if at all. The development that might have happened end up concealed by the fact that he probably wasn't serious at all. Still entertaining though.
