Decided to try Wolf's Rain, looked interesting.

I'll watch The Big O after this.

So how's Wolf's Rain?

Stopped at episode 5. Not because it was bad, but because I'm in one of those moods where I don't feel like watching anime.
Once I'm back in an anime mood I'll pick it back up.

So after a multi-month long break from anime, finished Wolf's Rain. I can't really pick out many reasons, but it was very meh. Basically:

- Most characters weren't that likable for one reason or another. Toboe is annoying, Tsume looks like a gay biker, and Kiba has no personality. Even the villain Darcia gets lame when he starts having his over the top freak out moments.
- Ending was iffy. I've seen worse but it's not what I'd call good.
- The pace was so damn slow. Too much drama and not enough action. Pity too cause it was a cool concept.

So, not terrible but not worth watching imo. I guess The Big O is next.

Forgot about Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei...

- First episode was hilarious. Most I've laughed in an anime so far.
- Episodes 2-4 were almost pointless. Also I was pissed that they didn't show Rika killing her mom. I thought it was a dream at first, then I was pissed when she started talking about how she actually did it. I expected it to show up later, but no.
- Last episode was pretty funny as well, but not as much as the first.

Overall, the two episodes were surprisingly funny and enjoyable. The "main" story was subpar and pointless. Hard to rank when the episodes are so different...

Episodes 2-4 were indeed very boring. I stopped paying attention though. >_> And I haven't watched episode 5. Episode 1 was very hilarious though.

I watched the first episode of The Big O...

I got major Cowboy Bebop vibes.

Big O is nothing like Cowboy Bebop. It's probably because Roger Smith and Spike are both voiced by Steve Blum. >_>

Dark, semi-depressing atmosphere with a wisecracking, sarcastic lead character, accompanied by blues style music that I don't like.
