This is one of that anime's that get you hyped with it's premise, but leaves you feeling like it could have been far more incredible. It was still good, but it had a few problems that leaves you wanting more.

Firstly, the characters are ether incredibly unlikable or overly goody-good. I wish they would have toned down some of the annoying ones down so we could at least relate to them. Second, the giant robot battles are made to be secondary to the characters struggles, yet they did a good job on them, so you wish it had been given some more attention. Lastly, the plot can get a tad confusing at times, not often but enough to leave you guessing at a few things.

I'm assuming the manga is far more in-depth, so it's probably really good. I don't read manga though so eh.
I gave the anime an 8/10.
