i guess i kinda liked the part in the first episode of DD fist of the north star where mr. heart was a super bishonen and kenshiro made him into the hideous blob he actually is with his atatatatatatata, but otherwise that show was pretty boring
like, it's not even a bad concept behind it -- make a gag series for fist of the north star, replete with all of its characters who would have had no place in the world if it weren't nuked into a post-apocalyptic shithole, where the apocalypse never happened. but in execution, it was just banal as hell

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2994760&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0you know, when code geass was going on, especially season 2, there was literally nobody above the age of 16 who ever said "this is an intelligent, well-written show". it's kind of amusing that people will still go to bat in defense of its maidenly honor years later. never watched it for that exact reason, of course. which led to a pretty awesome moment last year during an anime pictionary game where i was assigned to draw something from code geass, failed, and everyone on my team just screamed at me for ten minutes. that was great. that was my random musing about an overhyped show that i never watched, thank you

I enjoyed it when I watched it, but it's incredibly overrated. And R2 was pretty awful up besides the ending. It was like a plot twist every episode, and some of them were so batsh  it absurd that it became really hard taking the show seriously. |
