this semester is a bit better. about three shows there I wanted to watch. two amazingly bad shows there (Sailor Moon Crystal and Rewrite); we always seem to have at least one shit light novel show get voted in every semester, so I kinda expect rewrite to get in.

one of my friends managed to become an officer this year. wanted to get drifters in, but one of the scenes in the middle of the show killed that nomination. shame.

EDIT: never heard of matoi the sacred slayer before. has a 6.84 on MAL -- anything below a 7 is almost guaranteed to be complete shit unless it came out in the 1980s and is pretty damn obscure. see also: sailor moon crystal at 6.97, rewrite at a 6.72.

My Hero Academia is actually the one I care about the least. I've heard it has the worst pacing issues, and the first episode didn't disappoint that expectation by adapting only half of the first chapter. I've heard nothing but negative comparisons against the manga, which apparently is actually of superlative quality. There's just a ton of fodder in there, so I may as well vote for it.
