Someone comment, I want to make up for the fact that all of my write-ups went down the drain.

ololololololo

Clannad is actually very decent for the watch, and for that reason, nobody who hasn't watched it can validly understand why anyone would like it because on the outside, there's no unique or functional trait or gimmick. It's the execution that matters. Or course, if you want to subvert that by watching it and thus declaring that its a piece of ****, well... if you come into something with an adamant pre-conceived notion, it will hold true no matter what.

Was Eatman about a guy who could replicate weapons/machines with his body by eating a bolt from it?

Close enough, though rather, he just eats the entirety of it and he can generate it. The manga extends the domain to virtually anything.

I read a single volume of that manga years ago. It was **** awesome and I didn't know there was a manga.

He ate some guy's sword and defeated him with it. Then he had some plasma rifle that he shot up into the air, took out an umbrella and used it to block the plasma rain while the entire army he was facing got obliterated.

It certainly runs under that rule of cool, that it has had some issues with having a proper anime adaptation. Eatman '98 is pretty close to the original source (there's another adaptation which I think is just called Eatman. Never watched it, but I hear it wasn't really faithful to the manga), but it doesn't hold up to the manga. I'm not a reliable source for reviewing anything pertaining to action, so despite the ranking I gave it, you might like the anime if you want to watch it.

I remember watching Eatman. It was rather good, especially since all the scenes of him eating whatever doomsday weapon he's going to be using to solve the problem this time mostly served to set the pace.

I'm thinking I'll try doing a full list with short write-ups once I've hit 100 anime in however long that takes. I'm at 70-80 right now depending on whether you count separate seasons and movies as different shows.

I didn't say you were. Just saying that even with all I've seen it's not really that much comparatively.
